The ones that are being produced are comparable to AH-1Ts and the ones Iran got were AH-1Js".

There are two military industry programs dealing with the Cobras in Iran; The upgrading of AH-1J into AH-1T standard with improved radar/avionics/ECM/IR imaging and night vision equipment etc is handled by the Panha company and named Panha 2091. You can see above some of the Panha 2091's cockpit showing signs of being disassembled in the upgrade process.

HESA P4 is an unlicensed domestic production of the SeaCobra by HESA.

Can any one explain why a domesticaly produced Iranian Helicopter would have all the instruments in english?

This might not be the best parameter to judge if it is not indigenously built.. but it is not carrying any missiles which western helos do. Are they for limited / specific use only?

Well its been long that I read about it and saw a picture. Finally its been delivered. I think its a big achievement as it is a reverse engineered from cobras given to Iran in Shah's regime. This is a new begining for Iranian aviation and definately they are going to improve it in future ...

good idea ll be to do a joint venture with Iranians ,i mean we no longer need to work on engin and basics but we can modernizes these babys and add new toys such ATGMs etc cant we after all these years of work with optics and sensors ?

Cobras are used as anti tank weapon but why Iranians have handed over to Navy (as title suggest). Do these Cobras have something special for Navy?
