The D7200 is a semi-professional level camera and will serve you well. Good choice!

What lens(es) did you get?
Bought it with a 18-140mm and 50mm. I was planning for D5600 semi-professional as we discussed before but then at last moment decided to move to D7200 for slightly better weather protection as claimed by Nikon.

Good choices for the lenses, making a great kit. Find out now, before you need it, how to clean the sensor with a cleaning kit, or have it cleaned.

It cost a total of 140000 Rs but i guess i am covered for long time now since both these will cover most of the range i will like to shoot.

About sensor cleaning, how often you think it needs cleaning? Honestly speaking i was not even aware that i will have to clean it :P So better get it cleaned at some studio or camera shop. Still, how often?

The frequency of sensor cleaning depends on how often you change the lenses and use the zoom, both of which introduce fine dust particles given the general environment.

Wait, let me move this conversation to a more appropriate thread.

What would be the indicator for me to know that i need to clean the sensor?

Great. Will use it when i feel i am having this problem. However i dont think it will be too soon, wont get a chance to use the camera very often. It is usually on tours and that is 4 5 times a year, max. I was actually in a hurry now to buy it because i am leaving country tomorrow so though i must use it on this trip as well :D

Cleaning is not needed frequently, as long as lens changes are done carefully. Try to change lenses indoors and with the camera pointing down, and the chances of dirt ingress will be minimized.

Suggest me something, do i really need to carry mm on my trip? I wont be doing many portraits per say, it will mostly be architecture, landscape, etc. Will 18-140 be enough or do you suggest i take 50mm as well? I prefer to carry as little as possible and that was the main factor behind me buying two bridge camera before i finally moved to DSLR now.

For traveling, the 18-140 will be plenty. The 50 mm is better for portraits and low light photography, but that is usually not the case on a trip. I travel with a 18-200 or 300 myself and that is all I need.

So what camera(s) are you considering?
It depends on the need. If you are mostly doing outdoors and landscape work Pentax K1 mk2 (or mk1) is a great camera (probably the best in full frame pro-am range).

Get the pentax 31mm f1.8 with would make for a great walk about camera.

Get the Irix 15mm blackstone for really great landscape shots and that works great for astrophotography.

I will probably be put on the stake for this by Canikons (rofl) for this. But I guess it is what it is... :D:flame:

Hey @Arsalan may be this self-portrait will help you gain inspiration to buy lots of DSLR accessories too. :D
