The philipinos i worked with give a different picture than what you are trying to give.

we are not poor we are not rich either we are developing economy

He is likely referring the 1603 Sangley Rebellion.

Whether the Ming Dynasty has plans to influencing or controlling Spanish-controlled Philippines or not, then end result leaded to the deaths of a lot of Chinese. Thing is, if the Boxer Codex is to be believed - there is a sketch of what looks like a Ming-era Chinese General and many pre-Spanish Philippine socities were tributary states, there is a possibility that the Ming Dynasty had some sort of design to the Philippine islands.

Economically yes, we are not that wealthy.

Again no knowledge about the Philippines

Again no knowledge about the Philippines

Well since he said that only Filipinos committed that act, then he doesn't have the full knowledge since it was the Spanish who leaded the killings of the Sangleys after the Spanish (which were overconfident) tried to eliminate the Sangleys but ended up getting killed that the retaliation of the Spanish was quite... bloody.

so you could use USA help. are there any developmental projects by USA?

As this ruling is more on the military aspect, any developmental projects by the US will be focused on modernizing the Philippine military.

Of startings:yahoo:!!! USS Topeka stopped by the Philippines yesterday, 12 January 2016.

On Tuesday, the U.S. navy confirmed that a U.S. fast-attack submarine arrived at a Philippine naval base.

According to the U.S. navy in a statement, the Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Topeka (SSN 754) arrived at Subic Bay on January 12 as part of what was termed “its routine Indo Asia-Pacific deployment.”

...

Despite the alleged “routine” nature of the deployment, the submarine’s presence attracted media attention because of its timing. As I reported earlier this week, its arrival coincided with news that the Philippine Supreme Court had finally upheld the constitutionality of the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA), a pact that the Philippines had inked with the United States back in April 2014 (See: “Philippine Court Upholds New US Defense Pact”). Among other things, EDCA would give U.S. troops and equipment wide access to Philippine military bases on a rotational basis.

It also coincided with bilateral discussions between the United States and the Philippines in Washington, D.C. On Tuesday, Philippine Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario and Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin met with their U.S. counterparts U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter for the so-called 2+2 ministerial meeting. Both sides were expected to discuss a range of issues, including U.S. assistance with Philippine military modernization plans and ongoing disputes in the South China Sea, in which Manila is a claimant. As I reported last year, Subic Bay, where Topeka arrived, was a former U.S. naval facility and the Philippines had decided to reopen it to serve as a military base for the first time in more than two decades (See: “Philippines to Open Former US Naval Base Near South China Sea in 2016”).

Of course it's great news. Have you ever seen a domesticated canine who haven't seen its master for a long time? They start running in circles, tail waging, salivating in the mouth, barking, overall being full of joy and excitement. We expect the same regarding Filipinos with the return of its imperial master USA.

Not my business, but you also have to ask yourself why the Philippines invited the U.S back after kicking them out over a decade ago due to public opposition. We also have to look at things from both sides.
No country is innocent/saint here. :D

Interesting........Which sub is this?

Well mostly Americans while the British-made equipment the PH Army has are the FV101 Scorpions and Simba 4x4 APC.

Philippines wants to modernize its military/army. I think we can play a big part in this regard, since we are now increasingly looking forward to partner/cooperate with many Asian countries, reason British defence and foreign secretary visited the Philippines recently..

Oh, what a coincidence, I feel the exact same about what you write:flame:.

Bother someone else or I'll taunt you vigorously:

Philippine Air Force was offered some great aircrafts like F 16, su 27, mig 29, F 18 but nothing materialised.

I think they can also look into the JF17 program especially newer blocks coming out.

The difference between Syria and Philippines is that Syria is getting help from Allies when in time of war and repelling Western-backed terrorists, hell-bent on regime change. On the other hand, Philippines is opening its legs up, like a Manila street hooker, to US troops, during peacetime.

Thats funny since Russia has a base in Syria for many decades with Russian troops based there. Explain that. Bet you didn't know that. Why else would Russia decide to bomb after 4 years of war?

I did know about the Tartus base but that has been established since cold war and Russia's continued use of it was part of a debt forgiveness agreement between Russia and Syria. You can't compare a legacy base, from a bygone era, to Philippines willingly taking in occupying forces after freeing themselves of occupation in the past. Just stinks of weakness and desperation from Pinoys.

Really? So what Russia and Iran is doing shows that Syria is showing weakness and desperation then? And doesn't matter about debt forgiveness when Russia could have just left the base, but yet Syria is willing to let them have it.
