i don't want to sound dismissive or appear ignorant, but some of these pics look more like a photo OP, which modern army/military in this day and age carries a large flag mounted on a stick through a hot zone, the area had been cleared and they just taking pics for show, by parading a flag such as the one the soldier is carrying you're asking an enemy sniper to blow your head off. and the first pic shows a guy behind some rocks with a side arm pulled out whereas everyone else has there finger on the primary. again its another photo op. to win the hearts and minds of the people

you're right. this is a photo op. Nothing new or unique in this practice as its been around for ages now and every army uses these kinda stuff. Its basic propaganda tool

Maybe SSW too.

In his recent AFM piece (August 2017), Alan Warnes wrote that the PAF also embeds its own Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC) within Army units. Judging from an ISPR music video, these JTACs are SSW.
