Petrol Prices Expected to Drop by Rs 10 to 15 Per Litre in February

. .
In my opinion, prices of petroleum should be further increased whereas all benefits of lower international petroleum prices should be passed on to Diesel so that transportation costs come down for the common man and for the goods.

Agreed, however, if you push prices too far.. I might just start riding a motorcycle instead. That means your revenues would fall.. Honestly, I've been driving my Vezel much more than my civic turbo just because of this.

I too have reverted to a Prius instead of my Altis but that is not just because of the cost of the Petrol but because of my mental pleasure at being able to drive 15 km/l with Aircon. The real pinch I felt was when I would fill up the Audi which took only High Octane and would drive around 9 km/l; even my Mark X drives a mere 8-9 km/l and so I am thinking of upgrading to a Vezel.

Was also looking at Kia Sportage and the only thing it lacks and the only thing that kept me from buying it is the all petrol engine :( otherwise it is a very decent automobile.

I get excellent mileage on my A5 (13.8 km/l) and on my Sportage I'm averaging 10.3 km/l. Sportage is an excellent car, People like you and me who learned to efficiently drive hybrid cars can extract excellent fuel economy out of regular cars. I took a huge gamble on the Sportage and believe me, It was well worth it. The only thing I hate on the Sportage is the speakers automatically adjusting volume, apparently it is a safety feature. (Speed controlled volume is disabled.)

Your's must be the newer 1.4T model, mine is the older 1.8T A4 and hence the higher consumption. Plus, I am at times heavy footed when I just need to get ahead of those dumb f**** on the road ........ and when I am guilty of pleasure for adrenaline on open opportunities to give the engine a bit of run (especially early morning on the way to the office when there is very light traffic).

Exactly. Petrol Prices in Pakistan already lower then that in India. Atleast 30+ PKR lower. We actually have one of the lowest prices in world (excluding OPEC countries).
