Peshawar resident Abrar mastermind of Marriot blast

ISLAMABAD: An important breakthrough has been made in the investigations of the Marriot Hotel suicide attack.
As revealed by the arrested persons during interrogation, the mastermind of the blast, named Abrar, is a resident of Hayatabad in Peshawar and he was present in Islamabad on the occasion of the suicide attack.
Sources of the team, investigating the Marriot suicide attack, told Geo News representative Asif Ali Bhatti that the arrested accused Dr Usman, Rana Ilyas, Hameed Afzal and Tehseenullah Jan revealed during the interrogation that the Marriot Hotel suicide attack was planned in Peshawar.
They told that the explosives were purchased in Darra Adamkhel while the 10-wheeler truck was brought from Jhang. The truck was painted in blue colour before using it in the blast.
According to sources, mastermind Abrar, who was present in Islamabad went into hiding in Ilaqa Ghair after the blast.
The sources said that three teams are working on arrest of the mastermind and the challan has been prepared in the light of the interrogation with the arrested accused.
This is likely that the accused will be produced before the Rawalpindi court on November 28 and the court would be requested to convict the accused.
