Peshawar Mass Transit System | KPK govt issues EOI notice.

This EOI doesn't mean anything. In fact our biggest city, Karachi has been stuck on this for decades. Waiting for ground work soon.

Rest we can make this Mass transit system come true.

If Punjab can have direct relations with Indian Punjab for transport and direct funds' request from China and so on , So can we

You can make this Mass Transit in Peshawar come true by inviting foreign investment. In fact this goes for other cities of other provinces as well. The Average cost for Lahore Underground is estimated to be around $1.5-1.8 billion and for Karachi Circular Railway, it is $2 billion. hence out of our reach. The Chinese, Japanese, French, Spanish and Malaysian firms could be ideal partners.

Pakistani Punjab has little contact with Indian Punjab. They are both agriculture power houses therefore nothing much to give either side Last time i remember of an economic cooperation between the two was when the Indian side were interested in getting our investment in their solid waste management system

It has already been decided were to lay the tracks in Peshawar

It would ideally start from Chamkani in the outskirts of Peshawar and would end in Hayatabad, covering almost all the main Grand Trunk Road and University Road. (Note it was announced 2 weeks back)

Just give a contract to an investor and get the project kicking !

Contract will be handed to the successful bidder once they submit their EOIs and perhaps at a later stage formal proposals. More EOIs will benefit the gov as it fosters competition and understanding.
i think they worked the geography earlier as you stated above and released two weeks back, now contractors will study those requirements and submit their interests and possible solutions.

Usually governments select cheapest bidder; lets see what happens here i.e. cheapest or someone with kickbacks

surprisingly if you live in peshawar you will know that peshawar is a linear city that is intersected by dormanat railway line..
all that KPK neeed to do is get NOC from fedral govt to use that railway track and run rail/tram on it
it will be the best
it nearly follows the same path as what they have shown in red
it run till afghansitan torkham boarder


same goes for karachi it already has circular railway line

Such a proposal can only be materialised after 15 years or so... Or if there is a major economic boom in the country. It is not K-P's priority right now so they must focus on more prioritized issues first

Sorry to bust your bubble mate, but KP is already producing more electricity than their original demand, but your federal govt is eating into it and is still shamelessly making KP suffer with worse load shedding.. :pissed:

Also health emergency has been imposed and education reforms are also on the way. Unlike Showbaz in Punjab who diverted every available penny towards Lahore Metro and left all hospitals without medicines, even papers for X-Rays and invoices were NOT available in hospital as a result.. :bunny:
