Peshawar | 2 FC Soldiers Martyred as terrorists attack the Iranian consulate.

PESHAWAR: At least two FC personnel were killed in a suicide blast near the Iranian Consulate located in the University Town area.



SP Cantt told Geo News that a suicide bomber got off a car and detonated his explosive laden vest near an FC check post. The blast left nine FC personnel injured.



IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nasir Khan Durrani confirmed to Geo News that there was one suicide bomber. Durrani said a detailed account would be provided after the Bomb Disposal squad completes its probe. He added that FC personnel stopped the attacker from reaching the Iranian Consulate.



Several NGOs and offices are located in the University Town area.

On one hand we have these brave soldiers who are not only sacrificing their lives for the sake of their countrymen, but also to save the lives of foreign nationals. On the other hand, we have these coward terrorists who are brainwashing people into suicide attacks. Perhaps there is no greater act of selflessness than to lay your life in the course of fulfilling your duty and these Frontier Corpsmen are a prime example of this. Our prayers and condolences go out to the families and loved ones of these Frontier Corpsmen.
