Persian or Arabian Gulf? Iran, Saudi fight over name

Cyrus was the father of the Shiite Republic of Iran? What about Sayyid Khamenei is he a Persian too?

The closest living relatives of the Medes are the Kurds--who ruled Iran before the Persians.

In the Shiite Republic of Iran, the only person who can be Supreme Leader is a person who believes in the list of Arab descendants of Ali drawn up in an arbitrary manner by a ghulati cult based in Lebanon. Not only would Cyrus be prevented from ever being the ruler of his own country but so would his PARSEE descendants. :o:

Tell me more about your unbroken 'Persian civilization' lol

I will tell you more about my unbroken Persian civilization once you tell me a little bit about the difference between religion, ethnicity and country....

And there we go!!! Another proud Arab, raised on a lifetime of bullsh!t and hate. Now, who thinks they can teach this guy that 1) It's not Arabs living on both sides of the Persian Gulf. 2) Ahvaaz has always been part of Iran and the Arabs there are relatively recent arrivals from Iraqi tribes. 3) None of the above makes any difference.

Carsten Niebuhr a German explorer who visited Arabian peninsula and the eastern side of the Arabian Gulf (Ahwaz) in 1760, said that nothing was persian in the eastern side of the Arabian gulf, it's all populated by Arab tripes.

Educate yourself first.

A few years ago when the DNA tests of the Tehranis, Tajiks, and Pashtuns emerged it turned out that only 10% of Tehranis had Yamnaya ancestry as compared to 60-70% for the average Pashtun and Tajik. Yamnaya btw is the defining ancestry of Iranian peoples.

Most archeologists have now concluded that the original inhabitants of Iraq and Iran were wiped out by the Mongols and most of the current inhabitants are descended from later Bedouins migrants.

In the Chinese 36 strategies this is known as 'Create something from nothing'. There is no more Persian empire just vultures decking themselves with its bones.

Tell us more professor, if all the Iranians have been wiped out and present day Iranians are descended from Bedouin Arabs, why the fukk whould they continue speaking Persian among themselves and even teach it to others?

Certainly. Shall I quote you the names of the Pashtun tribes mentioned by Herodotus?

And what ethnic background do you belong to?

You surely aren't Pakistani.

Yeah and these Arabs populating the northern shore of the Persian gulf all chose to use Persian names for their towns, cities and even for themselves? And if that's the case, why bother changing the name Persian Gulf today, even if your imaginary Arabs chose Iranian names themselves?

I see you have a sharp sense of proportionality! A neighbor invades another neighbor's home, claims pieces of his property, constantly cusses and demonizes them to anybody who will listen, asks others to knock them off, and for you it's just a question of false pride on both sides. I just hope you're not a judge in real life.
Say what? You are not making any sense, Neither has KSA invaded Iran nor has Iran invaded KSA.......If you want to sound smart at least use an example that is relevant. These two states have peddled hatred against each other for decades and are also the prime source of sectarian divide in the Muslim world.

I guess you forgot about the part where Saudis and other Arab countries financed Saddamz to the tune of hundreds of Billions of dollars and cheered him on. Even Yasser Arafat came to Iran with his hat in his hand. Iranians set up tents on street corners where people were donating jewlery and cash. But as soon as Saddam invaded Iran, he threw his fulll support behind him.

Maybe you also forgot that Arabs actively claim Iranian territory that has never belonged to them. Or that the gulf Arabs have been agitating for the US to invade Iran.

This is what I m talking about. Or maybe all of that has been erased from your memory?

I'm afraid you'll have to search for it under a discussion of the work of Wolfgang Haak. I'm not sure I bookmarked it and I have a heck of a lot of bookmarks. The Yamnaya ancestry for Pashtuns can be found at the the Polish Genes blog by searching google for the following paragraph:

'I'm seeing most of the Kalash and Pathan individuals from the HGDP modeled as ~65% Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age (LN/EBA) European and ~35% Central Asian. This, to me at least, makes a lot of sense. For instance:'

I'm too new on this forum to be allowed to post links. Sorry.
