What's new

people in which caste are most likely to join Indian army

Recruitment into army is not done based on religion or caste, it is done purely based on physical fitness, aptitude and educational qualifications.

Army doesn't allow census of its employees, so no body knows which castes are represented more.

.
There is no such particular preference given to cast while selection and promotion in Indian defense, but Yes there is some set allocation in case minority and economic backward class. There is no benefit of personal promotion.. In case of private sector government has given total freedom to organization.

Following are Varna that mean social class, these represent which profession (working back ground) of individual and/ or social class ...

such as
* Brahmin - "scholarly community," includes the priests, scholars, law specialists, ministers, and diplomats.
* Kshatriya - "high and lower nobility" includes kings, noblemen, soldiers, and administrators.
* Vaishya - "mercantile and artisan community" includes merchants, shopkeepers, businessmen and farm owners.
* Shudra - "service-providing community" includes mostly manual and farm laborers.

These are not cast they are social class but commonly refer as cast

Intensity of this system much reduce after independence.......

.
so interesting that Kshatriya includes kings, the second caste.unlike Chinese histroy, the emperors or kings are always the first class power.maybe kingdoms in India histroy are too small to make kings powerful.royal power can't surpass magisterium.

did kings of Maurya also Kshatriya?and when he meet Brahmin, how would he treat them?

Question 2 - What has been the ''social class'' of your last 5 defense chiefs?

Question 3 - Have you ever had a Sikh or a Muslim Chief in any of your services?

which would likely to join India army, and made the main force.how would their promotion opportunity be affected by their caste.

Well, Dear, I would like to suggest not to listen to some OPPORTUNISTIC, FASCIST, SAFFRONIST, RACIST, CITY-BASED, self-styled UPPER CASTE (which means upper class, fair skinned, sharp nosed, brown colored, brown eyed, straight haired) Hindus (may be outside of this forum) of the illegitimate indian empire if you really want to know the reality about caste. They will make you puzzled by saying some confusing contradictory facts and even will go to the extent by saying claiming that it is the KILLER DEITY BRAHMHA who had long ago created the world and four castes using his limbs, I mean, hands, legs, skull, abdomen and body. They can also puzzle you by reciting some meaningless ridiculous hymns from their sacred holi-moli hindu texts.
Well, it is only Manusmriti of those (sacred?) upper caste Brahmins that dealt with the subject in the ancient period. Hindu brahmins claim that their blood is blue because they have aristocratic birth and you will be confused thinking over whether their blood has hemoglobin or something else or whether they are aliens (as you can see if you play the Microsoft game 'Halo') or human beings?
1) Never was this caste system a professional classification of hindus, just NEVER. Infact, the aboriginals of this occupied india were not hindus, they were forced to get converted but were never allowed to enter temples or even hindu Outsider's (their identity is still disputed, though they claim they are the illegitimate sons of Hitler) village settlements. Caste is a Portuguese word and was used by the British first time in this empire. Caste before that was known as Varna or color. Thus this color of the skin indicated race, not profession. But caste/varna also indicated occupation since hindu Outsiders were rulers and poor native subjugated races were slaves.

2) Hindu Outsiders used to claim that their blood was pure as all those had similar physical appearances, but later when they began raping aboriginal women slaves, the case reversed. Those women got pregnant and gave birth to genetically cross bid/ mixed children. This story continued since hindus were very much sexually perverted and you can see their temples where they worship contain vulgar, erotic and obscene pictures and wall sculptures as well as images. For example, the Shiva Linga, on which women pour water during worship, is actually a penis in shape and the sanskrit term Linga means penis and no hindu can deny this. A mixed race originated here, but that mixed race (which now constitutes the largest population) was called shudra race and now called OBC in govt documents. The aboriginals were then untouchable (hypocritical hindu Outsiders never touched the aboriginal males, but raped the aboriginal women, because they are hypocrites) and are still untouchable and they were slaves then and still have similar mentality now. B R Ambedkar was an untouchable aboriginal who kept weeping throughout his life, but when finally opted out for conversion, he went for Buddhism showing the slavish mentality once again. However, Ambedkar was a victim since he was brain washed by the hindus. He wrote the constitution and created reservation based upon caste. Thus caste based reservation came into being.

3) Caste system is still active in india but hindu Outsiders do not accept this because they are hypocrites. It is very simple and easy to understand. If you are also reluctant to believe this, please have a look at the hindu Matrimonial sites and Matrimonial columns of all indian newspapers. Brahmins, Kayasthas and even Shudras (slaves) never marry untouchable aboriginals and never allow them to enter their living rooms or even temples. You know the term Endogamy? In hindu system there is very strict endogamy for every caste, brahmins do not marry Kayasthas another upper caste, kayasthas do not marry Goalas another caste with a medium status, Goalas do not marry shudras (slaves) and shudras do not marry aboriginals like Santhals or gurkhas (untouchables). The whole system is very complicated and those hindu upper caste hypocrites who often throw filmy dialogues like "Aisa hota hain, waisa hota hain, yie karenge, woh karenge", themselves cannot even understand the system. I have sympathy for them, because they are also brainwashed ignorant people who donot know anything beyond Gita and Manusmriti.

4) It would have never been possible for the shudras even to get admitted and study and get govt jobs, had there never been a caste based reservation and Ambedkar, apart from his stupidity, was able to understand that. You know the term NEPOTISM? It means favoritism shown to relatives or close friends by those in power. Hindu Outsiders are very efficient apart from raping helpless weak women, to practice this. Now you can understand why 4% brahmins (or sexually perverted guys) of the total population (which is more than 8 billion) are seen as the judges of the Judicial system, cricketers, film stars, ministers, industrialists, corporate businessmen, promoters, brokers, bureaucrats, army chiefs, police chiefs and as other influential people. It is the reason behind this illegitimate empire's fanatic saffronite nationalistic drive. Others have been brain washed by this microscopic minority's deceiving diplomacy.

5) But in case of military service, without reservation it would not have been possible for the Gurkhas (oppressed Mongoloids of india) to join army since they have very short height compared to other races). This is just one example for understanding the necessity of reservation. Hope ignorant upper (!!!???) caste hindus now understand why reservation.

Today, brahmins who are actually parasites and other patriots show patriotism. Shame on them. They themselves are invaders, occupiers, and Outsiders. When the aboriginals (who die suffering malnutrition and starvation) do not have that sense even due to illiteracy.

OK firstly, this system was from the age of kings.
You can only discriminate only brahman, kshatriya and vaishya from their style of life. THe other castes hold major chunk of population. In the north may be scenarion is more true to above discrimination.
But the big picture is roughly this(in all aspects of life).
Some of the utterly backward castes(mostly untouchable prior to independence) and tribes are provided reservations very safely and have atrocity acts dedicated to them.

Then there are other backward castes. Most of them have regional names.
There is not one caste among these spread from kashmir to tamilnadu.
Only the first three castes extend all over India because a descendant of priest anywhere in India is by definition a Brahmin, a royal descendant is anywhere a Kshatriya, and similarly with traditional vyshyas(businessmen). That does not mean they are very powerful and affluent all over the country. May be in SOME places. Also their number is so less that, in democratic politics where votes matter, their say is not much. The conception that they are well place economically is also false especially with brahmins. If a proper poverty assesment is done I am sure there will a good percentage of Brahmins under poverty line. But when modern education came in(pre-independence), these three castes quickly got adapted so they are generally more well-educated. Other than this they have no advantage that comes due to communal agendas.

Sudras is not a caste. Its just an other word for lower castes(working class).
In general most domination struggles happen between these lower castes. Some of these castes have reservations either in national level or at a state level in the states where they belong. And in many cases these reservations are valid even if they change their religion(!! Yup). Even muslims have reservations in some states.

As for the main queswtion of who would join Indian army more likely, there is no clear indication. But the three upper castes are well doing with education, so they are less likely to enter army coming out of comfort zones. That means naturally that they won't have any advantage at a macro scale in army.
Generally I think army gets more applicants from north India one of the reasons being because of more unemployment. Punjabis and Sikhs are especially known for their valour and enthusiasm to join armed forces.
This is what I know about the demography of the army and India.
