Not that I intend to support the other side .......... but I don't understand why Zarvans of Pakistan go in hiding when a Kasoor (Pakistani city that has recently witnessed filming of sexual abuse of children) is happening right in front of them............ when not long ago a guy sexually abused and killed more than hundred homeless children in Lahore .......... Zarvans and state of Pakistan go in hiding when the gang rapes are happening openly ............. Why Zarvan? We have monstrous social evils lot more bigger than a trivial cartoon by the way.

Religion aside, a parent should hold the discretion on what his/her child should watch. They should absolutely set the precedent. When an entity gets involved, under the pretext of religion and or culture, it usually sets a bias, particularly for minorities and people who don't agree with the issue.

It was a cultural norm for travel purposes for e.g. Sand storm etc. Jubbah/thawb was originally from there (lose long garments) for men. It is their cultural wear and keeps them cool. Faith never said it is compulsory to wear face veil or burqa (just Hijab) and dress modestly. Nor did it give a specific colour code (women have to wear black) so many wear beige, grey etc.

You need to stop giving a very stern and rigid image of Faith in black and white. Do you know most scholars used to study the Qu'ran or even question it to prove theories?

Arabs have always wore long Garments. Women however weren't covered as much and the revelation came for Men too. Technically a woman can wear long skirts and a loose shirt or modest clothing. It hasn't specified the word 'burqa' specifically and face veils is only meant for the Mother of the believers.
