We have huge leverage or influence over Afghan Taliban specially Haqqani network. That's what current Afghan government always blame Pakistan for lol. If you don't believe me you can ask @A-Team .
Also to know our influence. Few days back one of our Mi-35 heli crashed over Afghanistan (Taliban controlled territory) . And they crew became prisoners of Taliban . The crew also had one Russian member. But you know Taliban released all members unharmed
Thank you seconding the Afghan position Next time you blame Afghans for being chummy with India because of you backing anti afghan elements then would help to look inwards a bit ( SAARC bycott was just one step in that direction)
So you are basically admitting Pakistan has influence -- even control -- over the Taliban? So @A-Team is basically correct in what he says?
Of course he does, the whole world knows this and thus no-one is taking position seriously and thus the isolution.
SAARC got canceled, ok PDF member will always put it as useless orgnaziation but that is not how diplomacy works.
Most of these folks have nerver been in to real conferences because if they do then they will realize how isloated is Pakistan and that is basis on why Pakistan civilians have started raisining their voice ( latest dawn article being one example )
Here is another simple example--- How many policy heavy weights did Senator Mushahid met when he was visiting the US? Of course if having interns sitting in the altantic council sounds like heavy weights then that is another discussion
