PDM new they would loose the next elections, they played it safe with the establishment, deep down they wanted IK and PTI to protest, bring the country to a standstill so they can get in the good books of the establishment, and take strict action against PTI, they've done just that. Today PDM can arrest, torture PTI workers and all the blame will go on the establishment (not denying the establishment is also not doing the same)
We cannot deny whenever Pmln came to power, they always took strict action against opponents, they wouldn't even leave General Musharaff alone.

PTI has faced the state wrath and they will suffer in the elections so PDM is happy. Similar to how AL in Bangladesh took strict action against BNP and Jamat Islami. What will worry Pmln is the Istihkam-e-Pakistan Party, at the moment IPP may not be organised and powerful but Pmln knows they can become challengers in the future. PPP is also upset because all ex PTI people should have joined PPP but instead formed own party. JUI and Fazlur Rehman were destroyed by PTI and they will also benefit in KPK, Fazlur Rehman wants PTI destroyed.

I would say PDM will be confident going to the Oct elections 2023, 10,000 PTI workers, leaders, media team is in jail, IK is banned on media, in a way under house arrest aswell. PDM has an open field to win the elections and form a coalition government.

If free and fair elections are held PTI would still win.

But that won’t be allowed to happen. Foreseeing a 80-20% split in favour of PMLN and IKP. Zardari has been given Sindh.

It’ll be divine retribution if the ex PDM group and take the establishment down. Although a very remote possibility.
