I still can't work out why these people think if they have a jalsa Imran Khan will stand down?

They think establishment will force IK out or will impose martial law..

Now obviously its not going to be bajwa(behind doors negotiations didnt work)

So they are hoping for a mutiny and blood bath..they think generals from central punjab will do mutiny for their leader mr sharif.

He tried to do that in all of his terms with money bribes and what not. In fact he compromised all the institutions but was never able to achieve that with army. He will never succeed while living in London and out of power.
