No, this was my program - process cybernetics.

Cybernetics and Robotics (Master, 5 years) - NTNU

Nerd:pissed:!

Oh, wait, that's not a bad thing I suppose.

5 year program ! :o:

What sort of a 5 year masters exists out there ! :undecided:

Why do people study so much Sciences; what happened to the finer things in life such as studying liberal arts or archaeology etc. ?

and how long did you spend studying to be at your current profession?

2 years undergrad, 3.5 years grad. Because I was in the military during parts of my studies, I had to compact them (or prolong them if I chose too) to account for a busier schedule.

There's a job market for Peruvian basket weavers? If not, then that's why sciences are more in demand.

5 year program ! :o:

Yup. 5 year graduate program on top of 3 year undergrad. As I mentioned in our discussion about the Norwegian jobs market, our population is educated, really educated and well qualified. We go beyond the typical university template of a 2 year MS.

Doctoral level studies are done at one's own pace, so there isn't a set period of time for them.

BAD ROBOT :nono:

:lol:Whoops, seems my programming needs some tweaking.

5 years is for advanced engineering degrees. Two year programs exist too, but not for what I was interested in.

It's a 5 year course, though it can be compacted if you take extra courses in a given semester. I tried to do one more class than the average and finished in 3.5 years.

Cool:yahoo:! Where are you studying?
If you're interested in mechatronics, you should talk to SvenSvensonov . He works in bio-mechatronics for the US military.

.
me doing from NUST,Pakistan
cybernetics is quite interesting field first time listen about it. no university here has any cybernetics program but many universities have bio-mechatronics in MS ,PHD
thanks alot

Oi....just because the rest of us didn't study science doesn't mean that we're basket weavers ! :pissed:

So Ohm invented the Ohm's rule to measure resistance; what do you expect me to do about it ? Wear a pink tutu and do the hula before his statue in Munich ?

If you want to enrich your life study the Classics, Philosophy, History, Literature, Politics and Economics ! :smokin:

What is the medium of instruction out there? Only Norwegians I have met are some awesomely cool Djs, Goes w/o saying you don't go nerding unless you wanna get thrown out.

The other question I have had about Norwegian and Scandinavian society in particular is what are the broad social indicators like? You guys are the top level of human development socially and psychologically this is supposed to be the tough place to be as without the driving force of primal needs - like food/housing/financial security people are usually lost for motivation and things like depression and suicide become an issue.

This is just theory but are you aware of any such problems with larger strata of Scandinavian Society.

P.S. Please consider my questions as only academic in nature, with no adverse implications towards the mighty vikings :)

We do have B.tech Bhai. It's a two year degree in Pakistan. Usually the labor working on plant site have B.Tech degree. B.Eng is an expensive degree on Pakistan

Well not thoroughly right. B.Tech is some what more on vocational side where as B.Eng is academic / theory and research. It's not about expensive or cheap.
