There really was no other logical choice to put as Captain other than Sarfraz right before the WC. And I honestly don't know what is wrong with all the Pak fans that have such a small memory, we only remember the losses and not the victories. Calling Sarfraz worst captain ever and a bad captain, really why?
Sarfraz has won 29 OUT OF 33 T20I's, 11 consecutive T20 series and is STILL UNDEFEATED as T20 captain as Malik captained this South Africa T20 series.
Out of 7 ODI series Sarfraz has lost ONLY 2 ODI ASSIGNMENTS (The ODI tour to NZ and the recent Asia cup) and won Pakistan's first ever Champion's trophy by beating India in the final, and also won the 2006 U-19 WC by also beating India in the final (knowing our record against India in ICC tournaments that is). The current series against South Africa doesn't count because he was not able to complete it (and 2 of the 3 lost games were very close anyways)
Like seriously what the hell else do you all want from him? You expect him to be undefeated? Like other teams have perfect undefeated captains right? Seriously this is a common trend with Pak ppl, a couple of lost series and immediately "worst captain ever" change him or whatever.
YES HIS TEST CAPTAINCY is in question, despite drawing with a full-strength English team in England and beating Australia in UAE 1-0, he doesn't seem to have the patience or fortitude for tests (like losing in our previously undefeated backyard UAE to Sri Lanka and New Zealand). He should resign from Test captaincy and maybe even from the format.
But for ODI's and T20's he is the best choice for Captain and should stay as such until atleast the 2020 T20 world cup (T20 is his best format, undefeated as captain and won 29 out of 33, the BEST International T20 captaincy record period). Prove me other wise with facts.
