Pay for anti-separatist drive: B'desh minister to India

i am using indian derived poverty measure of 20 rupee a day... After seeing your data I have searched on this n the conclusion is that both government of India and Bangladesh also account subsidy apart from personal income. That is why it is little less then the world bank estimate.

I think you have allergy if your real poverty stricken indian face has been exposed. Just go n look who has started this... n who has brought up the illegal migration issue 1st. N stop trying portraying yourself like a pundit. Has seen lots of kolkata babu in canada n their living style and knowledge.

Again blatant lie, the un study you keep harping set indian poverty at 29 % in 2000.

I've seen lots of bangladeshi in pdf and can gauge their depth of knowledge too!

Ohh yes... India measured their poverty with 20/30 rupee a day.... n you want to say Bangladesh is measuring it with less then that??? Or what sort of bar you are talking about... with that money what one can do... can they even cover their 3 times a day meal cost... let alone education and health expenditure... that your Indian government is claiming they are supposed to be...

If some low life ... self diluted person tries to remain in day dream that India is a country of milk and honey and has less poor as every one is super rich.. you better remain in your self delusion /day dream... Or come up with some reliable figure.

Multi dimensional poverty index also placed indias poverty level to 55% compared to 50% for bangladesh... see idunes article...

Half of indians live below poverty level regradless indians admit it or not.

But lets not waste too much time in off topics of indian denial. Lsts concentrate on real issue how much india has to pay to Bangladesh:

$2 billion drive againt ULFA
$50 billion for damage caused by farakka and other dams
$5 billion indian army lotting from Bangladesh
$inifine billion for indian terrorst activities in CHT

.
Does the minister want 2 Billion in his personal account or general donation to Awami league political fund suffice?

However if Bangladeshis want to be our paid mercenary force instead of acting like sovereign responsible nation ..why not we can arrange for that!!

.
Why only 2 billion??? Super rich India should pay 20 billion right away. :police:

.
Not only this $2 billion, india also have to pay billions for damage caused by Farakka and other dams. Not to mention pay for arms, money and materials indian forces looted from Bangladesh after independence.

Source pls.???

Going by the bangladeshi minister logic, india should have been paid by bangladesh for cht!

There could be many hearsay articles and accusations. Fact Awami regime trotured and jailed these people without any shred of evidance and could not put them in trial proves how farcial all these accusations are.

Pin blame on political opposition is convinent BUT NOT a substitute for evidence.

Now present your damm proof that you have claimed.

Babur was arrested during the caretaker government, not during the AL regime.

I think you know it quite well despite achieving 8% gdp growth driven by service sector ... India is still a poverty stricken country where 37-78% people live below poverty line. So any knowledge person will not prefer to go to India.

Our GDP per capita is twice that of yours.Bangladesh is poorer than dirt poor. I bet people in sub saharan africa have better living conditions than people in Bangladesh. At least they have some space. Bangladesh is so overcrowded that people have no option but to live in stinky slums. That's why they try to migrate here and get shot near the border.

Well, the present GOB did fight for us and busted out terror cells. THough it was a former jamaati BNP creation, this government did take steps. So we must reward it in cash or in kind. I'd say in kind is better since it has long term benefits to both nations. How about involving in some infrastructural projects that would benefit people directly rather than cash that would probably be eaten by politicians?

A reward in kind would go a long way to keep our positive influence on people.

Dude have you read the cost layouts of some infrastructure projects in BD(posted by BD members)...its all in multibillions (in US dollars that is) ranging from around 4 billion for a bridge to 7 billion for a spaceport, sorry airport.

I don't think such a poor country like India have the capacity to fund such massive projects.

Did you even care to check whether these are present or backdated data? Before posting anything you should check these are present data or not... if not then it is better not to show up your ignorance. Poverty rate in india is between 32 to 77% as it is measured recently. In bangladesh it is 31%. In india government is not sure still what should be the level of poverty.... they set it 30 rupees a day this year saying this are enough to buy food, cover education and health cost. But due to protest they had to withdraw it... but even with 30 ruppes a day they got 32% poverty rate. Definitely if the poverty line is increase it will increase more poor... sorry if I heart your bharati dalali ego.
