Well, first of all our overall military is not as powerful as that of India. Both outnumbered and outgunned.

Secondly, we do not have nuclear weapons. And never will. It's hard to get them nowadays.

Whatever is going on in NE India is really not our problem.

@ You can't say that we would never acquire nuclear weapons. Rather it is more needed for the smaller countries than the bigger which would garrentee our sovereignity. We cannot believe India not even a moment that 's what history says so !

@ You see after the partition of Indo-Subcontinent, India annexed Hydrabad, Tripura, Manipur, Goa, etc and finally annexed Siikim in 1975. They also planned to annex Bangladesh but due to the stiff registance from Sk Mujib she could not do ?

@ India helped and sponsor the elements of Kader Siddique in 1976-77 for the insurgents but failed. After that she concentrated on the Chittagong Hill Tract but that too failed. Than she concentrated on "Bongo Bhumi" which also failed and now she purchased La-Hasina to materialize their cherish dream i.e, "Akhand Bharat".

That happened during the Cold War. The Cold War ended over 20 years ago.

As of now, there isn't any evidence that India is supporting any insurgency in Bangladesh. The Shanti Bahini were goners a long time ago. The skirmishes with the army did not end well for them. And frankly, I don't think they'd dare try it again. Although, I would support their rights.

You know what will happen if we have the same bargaining chips ...its not that hard for the RAW to incite Tribals and indigeneous peoples to rise up in revolt. And there is officially nothing you can militarily do about it.

Equal relations are based on the premise ---You dont work against our interests , and we dont work against yours .

Dude, i wasnt talking about going into war. My stance is that, bangladesh should get paid by india for carrying out india's work. Getting manpower, fuel, ammunition, intelligence isnt cheap, esp in bd where police force is being overstretched. ULFA is not a concern of bd's internal security so far, so police wont chase after them

If you allow them to use your territory to regroup , train , carry out infiltrations to blow up our military installations then its called abetment to endangering our sovereignty. No confusion here. You will still be considered encouraging anti-India activity. After that its fair game --- If you continue down this road , both official intelligence agencies will fight a proxy war. You guys have a habit of intermingling a lot of issues . You can't just link "economic practices " , "BSF killing smugglers and illegal immigrants " , " Farrakka Barrage " etc to anything you like .

If you have gone through the previous posts , you will see many links showing that these Groups were made to flourish and prosper by Bangladesh authorities in the past. Arms consignments used to reach them through your territory, the ULFA leaders are making a load of money by investing in businesses. ( Just like Daud Ibrahim in Pakistan-they have established a nexus between Crime and terrorism ) which they put into their terrorist activities against India.

According to Intelligence reports , Khaleda Zia govt actually collaborated with the ISI to enhance terrorist activities.

We have lost countless lives , property , have to face severe economic loss due to ULFA's blowing up of oil installations , gas lines etc. Who will pay for all this damage ? You ????

Its the job of Bangladesh authorities to clean up this mess they created. and further more it does not involve a lot of money or resources , only denial of sanctuaries and training grounds.

So payment for what ? Dont expect to blackmail us by first creating a trouble then charging us for it. Its called extortion.
