by such logic how come hindus are not persecuted in christian nations, or should I rather say secular christian majority nations?

And this guy, he wasn't forcing anyone to listen to them. He wasn't preaching to anyone. Fanatics just saw it and lost their nerve.

The thing they don't stop at preaching their religion. They abuse Hinduism to no end. They call 'Hanuman' a monkey. They mock Hinduism as Paganism. They abuse Hindu gods with names. Why would an illiterate Hindu would tolerate such thing in his own country? I am no way condoning the physical abuse. I am sure Indian justice system would do the needful.

Nobody eat beef and nobody sell satanic verses, NO discrimination. The law only tries to protect the religious feeling of all religions. Whether law should do that is a moot point, but discrimination is not intended. Except positive one, like muslims getting subsidy for hajj, or muslims able to form minority institutions with special privilegesetc etc... stuff hindus can not do!

The constitution of INDIA does not sentence any one for eating beef, if that is the case I dont know how come beef is sold all over India and is available as a cusine in most 5 star hotels to locla dabas.
The law says that you can not mass slaughter COW in open slaughter house, and you can slaughter cows for selling in a clean closed slaughter house as per demand or sale volume.

I am a Hindu of Chatria origin, yet I have shared room with lower caste students both in my school hostel as well as college, just don't dive to the depths of being cheep for the sake of just rediculing us. There has been a lot of deveolpment in reducing the lines between different castes but you can not remove caste, its like having different sects in Islam like Shia and Sunny and Ahamadi's.

Exactly bro, I feel the same way.
Every Hindu gives all this fluff about spirituality and all paths lead to God.
But they they go all caveman on anyone who dares to change to a different path to God.
And then the rest condone such barbaric acts.
I don't think I read a single comment by any Indian members on this thread condemning it.

Cristians and Muslims have waged religious wars for over centuries, its because Hindus are majority in INDIA we are not witnessing such wars between Muslims and Christians.
No Muslim Converst to Chirstianity and vise versa, Muslims do not go door to door and preach in INdia, Its the Christians who do such thing and you know what this threatens the secularistic ideas that Hindu political leaders who ruled independent India set for us to follow.

No body condones anything. If this really happened, there will be so many NGO's pounding on police to take action. India is pluralistic society that way. They will get their justice. We don't have blasphemy laws that kill someone for abusing our gods. These Hindus must be illiterate to do something like this. They will be punished.

Freedom of religion is a strong part of secular ideal, and part of that freedom means they have the right to preach, just like you have the right to ignore them.
They cannot force you to listen, and you cannot force them to stop talking........unless you practice "Indian secularism"
in which case you can beat an innocent man to an inch of his life and the rest of society will cheer you on.
