We didn't choose our neighborhood. We can always choose our values.

Indian values are based on the Dharmic religions just like the Western values are based on the Judo-Christian religions and the Chinese values are based on the teachings of Confucius and the Arab values are based on the Islamic religion.

They are allowed their own laws.
They get reservations.
They open their Madarsas.
They are also allowed special minority benefits.

All in all they are a lot happier than most of the Muslim in the whole world.... There's a Big Conference going on in the Ramlila Ground as we speak here in Delhi... many Senior Maulanas and Muslims from all over India are attending in Huge Numbers... and I happened to pass the security arrangements made there... nothing less than what is was to enter the national stadium in CW games.... yes they are a Part of India... But they are not the part of Islamic world... means they can fly kites,dance in functions, participate in cultural dramas of other faith, celebrate new year, valentines day, Study what they want, wear what they want, eat and drink what they want, have security... and get punished as per the constitution of the Republic of India.

You really don't want to open that door. We all know the real representation of Muslims/Christians in the Indian government sector, not the occasional token figure.

They are given equal opportunity and there is no govt law stating only Hindus will be recruited for certain positions.

We have had Muslim presidents, right now have a muslim vice president, our Chief of Air Staff is a Christian etc.

As I said there is absolutely no comparison whatsoever of the state of minorities in Pakistan and India.

And, needless to say, your claim about the alleged absence of non-Muslims in the Pakistani power structure is not worth a reply. Counter examples have been provided before and, in any case, the topic here is not Pakistan.

Ok how many Hindu Brigadiers or Sikh colonels, just for an example, have been there in the Pak Army ?..Or how many Christian Presidents..?

The simple fact, a fact that even people with the brain of a kitten can grasp, that while minorities are vanishing like snow in sun in Pakistan (either migrating to India in ccase of Hindus/Sikhs, migrating to west in case of rich christians or just convert to Islam in case of poor) and on the contrary minorties are increasing like never before in India punctures your theory that the condition of minorites is same in India and Pakistan.

Leave it KS. It's not a rocket science for all to see that Hinduism/Hindus have faced all kind of attacks endangering their existence but even after thousands of years we are there standing strong and tall so lets not talk about our strength.. Weak are the people who incite pain (ex suicide bombings) and brave are the people who endure the pain (standing tall with high spirits even after bouts of suicide attacks)

In other words - "Kuch to baat hai hum mein ki hasti mit ti nahi hamari"
