Not a big deal as inwards tourism is on the up.
Yes.
Maybe it was/is a blessing in disguise that Pakistani passport is not so easy to get a visa on: Think of the tons of foreign exchange saved over the decades and also the boost to the local tourism market, which is more and more leading to creating jobs in Pakistan. In my last trip to Pakistan, I was almost shocked to see the world class motorways, long distance travel, air, and bus travel vessels leaving and arriving on time. Professional quality services. And a general, palpable awareness that tourism is good for Pakistan, which it is.
Indeed, it is PM Advisor Zulfi Bukhari's repeated argument: Focus and develop domestic tourism first before worrying a lot about foreign tourists. And he's right!
As for the value of the Pakistani passport. It is what it is. But also don't forget that hundreds of thousands of Pakistanis do come to and go out of Pakistan every year and maybe it's better for now that those who do go out are for employment than those who skip the various Switzerlands right inside Pakistan to go to Switzerland and spend tens of thousands of Pakistani foreign exchange!
Oh, I would never live in most African, Middle Eastern, South East Asian, or South American countries over Pakistan, simply because Pakistan is far more beautiful than those countries, has great food, cultural sites, and a hospitality which is unmatched in the world. The climate of Pakistan allows, if one can afford to, a lifestyle where one could winter out in the balmy Karachi winters, shoulder seasons in central Pakistan, and summer in the northern mountains. The best weather EVERY AROUND! Ask how many Americans would love to stay in Miami in winter and be in, say, northern Michigan in summer! I have met quite a few of those lucky ones.
I know I am partial but then Eva Zubeck also agrees with me on this!
