The indian army officers are very impresed by the killing power of the 5 km range Nag ATGM and even told it 'deadliest atgm we have ever seen'.So the airlaunched version HELINA can never be inferior to PARS 3 or any other ATGM.Good going DRDO,we are proud of you guys.

I think that IAF should go for the Mil Mi 28Havoc as it has much better armor and weapon load than the AH 64D Apache longbow.

Long Range, Dual Mode Missile – NIMROD 2 A dual mode Laser/GPS Homing missile, the Nimrod 2 has a range of 36KM and features a mobile launcher. The warhead is 14kg, and the missile can support various warheads for a variety of targets.

IMROD 2 - Long-Range Laser Guided Missile System


NIMROD 2 is an anti-tank and anti-personnel laser homing missile for up to 36 km range and pinpoint accuracy. It is easily installed on a variety of ground platforms and helicopters.

On land, NIMROD 2 provides standoff strike capability against ground point targets such as tanks, APCs, personnel concentration and guerillas. A forward scouting team uses a laser designator to direct missiles that are fired from a launcher up to 36 km behind.

Mounted on light vehicles, the system is inherently mobile, and is a natural candidate for rapid-deployment forces.

NIMROD is capable of day & night operation, and its flight trajectory can be set below clouds.

NIMROD 3 is an anti-tank, anti-personnel and anti building laser homing missile of 50 km range and pinpoint accuracy.
NIMROD 3 is based on a 160 mm IMI rocket, fitted with a laser & GPS seeker and guidance system. With 50 kg warhead and pin-point accuracy,

NIMROD 3 provides standoff strike capability against a wide range of target types, from high value soft targets to buildings, at ranges up to 50 km with a forward scouting team uses a laser designator to direct missiles that are fired from a standard 160mm rockets launcher up to 50 behind.
