United Jehad Council (UJC) chairman Syed Salah-ud-Din on Monday claimed that the Indian Defence Minister’s recent statement had proved true ‘the apprehensions of the Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir as well as the Muslims of India about the Narendra Modi’s government’.
“BJP and its allied organizations are declaring the Muslims living everywhere in India as terrorists. These extremists are calling them (Muslims) as Pakistani agents and holding out threats to them. Now the defence minister, while declaring pro-freedom Kashmir people and militants as terrorists, has formally announced to play a dreadful and gory game against the Kashmiris. His statement clearly shows that government of India’s intention is to revive Kuka Parrays in Kashmir.
Basically, the Government have lost the courage and strength to fight Kashmiri militants and they have now formulated the policy and programme of reactivating the renegades to fight the pro-freedom people and militants. But they have forgotten what the fate of Kuka Parry and other renegades eventually met,” the UJC spokesman Syed Sadaqat Hussain, in a statement today, quoted Salah-ud-Din as having said while addressing the UJC meeting.
Meanwhile, the spokesman has strongly condemned the attempt of Indian leadership to declare Salah-ud-Din as terrorist at international level, clarifying that “Salah-ud-Din is the leader of freedom movement of Kashmir and that this movement has the recognition at international level.
The world community has declared this movement as legal and lawful. Besides, the United Nations Security Council has passed several resolutions on the Kashmir dispute to which India itself is the signatory. How will India approach the UN and world community to declare Salah-ud-Din and UJC as terrorist?”
