Why does a poor country like Pakistan have sofa like chairs for their Members of Parliament?
Secondly the layout of the chamber doesn’t encourage debates between the Opposition and Treasury!

Therefore Pakistan should consider remodelling the Chamber to not only remove the royalty like Sofas and replace them with Benches but should also reduce it size and lay it out in such a way that encourages direct Debate between the Tresury and the Opposion !

The UK House of Common’s layout should be adopted in my humble opinion! Together with a more public viewing gallery and a more transparent and environmentally friendly building which isn’t a boring slab of Concrete

It can't be an immediate concern but in future we should do something about it. I would say more important is the system change i.e. presidential form of democracy but full power except no indemnity or exemption from any law.

.
Presidential democracies are not as effective as Parliamentary ones, they tend to lead to dictatorships in less developed countries quite often.
Pakistan should keep it’s Parliamentary from of Government and as for the role of the President should be one of an Ambassador of a the nation that travels around the world to represent Pakistan leaving the Prime Minister with the domestic affairs.

.
Presidential system will only have 1 advantage in country like Pakistan and that is educated and competent people can be brought instead of depending on individual who just won election. But at the same time parliamentary system is better because it represent Pakistan as it is. It remind us why we need to improve our education system so we don't get likes of Sheikh Rasheed and Fawad Chaudhry in parliament.

Imagine jahil insaan like Sheikh Rasheed being railway minister again who won election just on basis of anti-ahmadia bigotry.

Parliamentary systems are alot more expensive to run and maintain and doesn't often provide the best talent. For example there are a total of 8 houses of legislation with 1256 legislators plus an expensive ceremonial President.

1. Senate = 104 members ( will reduce by 8 with FATA merger)
2. National Assembly = 342 members
3. Punjab Assembly = 371 members
4. Sindh Assembly = 168 members
5. KPK Assembly = 124 members (soon to increase with FATA merger)
6. Balochistan Assembly = 65 members
7. GB Assembly = 33 members
8. AJK Assembly = 49 members

Now that is a massive amount of legislators and the cost of holding elections and then by-elections for all of them is extremely high and then the ministers are selected from these elected members who might not even be qualified to do that role.

Care to explain what qualification did the "loha kay chana" had to be a railway minister? Or what made Mr Tractor Trolley a good candidate to be a Defence Minister and then a foreign Minister? Or what about Rana Sanaullah being a Law Minister who claimed that going to the airport to pick up a convicted criminal Nawaz is better than going to Hajj?

dont see any problem with current parliament, no need to adopt any british thing. Pakistan should maybe develop their own style or layout if possible
