French fashion retailer sparks outrage by banning Chinese tourists from its new boutique hotel

A luxury French fashion retailer has sparked huge controversy by claiming its new boutique hotel will not be open to Chinese tourists.

But according to the company's founder, Thierry Gillier, the 40-room hotel will not be open to tourists visiting the French capital from China.

Speaking to WWD, he said: 'We are going to select guests. It won’t be open to Chinese tourists, for example.

'There is a lot of demand in Paris — many people are looking for quiet with a certain privacy.'

fashion brands like Gucci, D&G, louis vuttion have duplicate challengers from china which come rom made in china factories which look the same but quality is typical chinese type. hence the ppl wjo pose as tourists and click photos in the brand stores are restricted from entering the store or the countrymen even may b, lullzz!

I'd been in many countries and continents in the world but Europe, for I know their snobbishness former colonist 'holier than thou' attitudes are rather hard to take. Even now when they are becoming more beggar like, with gloved hands stretch out as to say money are too dirty for them to touch. Well, the French are well-renowned for their rudeness. My dad visited there sometime back, he hated every bit of them. They are loud, rude and obnoxious people.

He was relived when he came back to the UK

Countries like the Netherlands are very nice. And most importantly, they are great and friendly people. I highly recommend visiting there.

For those working in hotel industry, obviously they can. Mainlanders are particularly easy to spot out due to the toned languages that they speak. Ethnic Chinese from Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia would speak in English to hotel employees.
