Brig (r) Asif Alvi has hit the nail on the head. Great, honest article.

The question is, are you sure its going to be a conventional war? Lets not forget that both sides are nuclear armed. And we're actually a step ahead of our counterparts as far as Nuclear Weapons Delivery systems are concerned.
I think you're assumption is flawed when you say that in case of a convetional/Nuclear war, India wouldn't be on the losing edge. There's a reason why Pakistan maintains a first-strike capability. The nuclear build-up in the region isn't progressing because Pakistan would want to see it self suffer in case of a war with an enemy, thrice its size.
Lets just hope that it doesn't come down to this. If we end up triggering another war, total annihilation would follow for both nations.
1. With Pakistan, the act of war by India always exist by default on their betrayal over Kashmir.
2. Pakistani skirmishes over Kashmir is totally justified as it is a disputed territory and all options must be exercised.
to whomever edited my post,
I asked a legitimate question to the Pakistani who claimed a Pakistani Major general is an Idiot, he have the right to explain why he claimed so and as a member i have the right to ask him. I think it should be his comment about the major that needed a mod edit than mine or is it bcoz i am an Indian. Either way it seemed unfair.
Listen carefully indian. Look within your own borders for the answer. Look at the disputed territories. You'll get your answer. We will never shake hands with you till the issue is resolved. Rather than accept that, india prefers to make new ones, like spreading lies about Pakistan, and trying to control flow of water. This man durranis an idiot. Move on.

Now you listen carefully pakistani. YOU need to look within your own borders and find out threads which would define your own unity. Whipping up anti-India sentiments to hold a country together is not going to hold water for long.
(@ mods: I just addressed him in the same language that he uses to address my fellow compatriot. Doesnt sound nice, right? Then why is such language tolerated?)
Btw, you do not have a choice other than extend a genuine hand of friendship towards India, and if you realize soon enough, the earlier the better!

Friendship is necessity of time BUT remember without soving certain issues (namely Kashmir) we cannot be friends. Its not like a few people in the establishment that want war with India, it about he people of Pakistan. The have sentiments for their Kashmiri brothers.
Without solving these issues, the talk of Friendship is absurd!
