The Pak establishment of late have been flaunting their battlefield nukes with gay abandon as though these would be a winner in a future war with India. Ok, let's check it out.

Question: How many Nasrs would be required to stop an Indian thrust? Here's the maths...

For a max 5KT warhead (max 5KT warhead on Nasr which is between 1 to 5 KT)

– Blast and fireball radius 500m or approx < 2 sq km

Integrated Combat Group frontage < > 10 km with two combat teams up. Depth < > 5 km. Total area covered approx 50 sq km.

How many tactical nukes would be required to destroy one CG?
- 25 Nasrs (with 5KT warhead. 125 nukes with 1KT warhead).

Initial strike with 10 -15 combat groups simultaneously. Total area covered < > 500 sq km.

Minimum battlefield nukes needed to destroy the CGs = > 250 Nasrs with 5KT warhead or 1250 Nasrs with 1KT warhead!

That’s a hell of a lot of Nasrs required! Remember, all tanks and personnel carriers are protected from nuclear radiation. There will be no infantry out in the open.

So, going a step further, 250x5 KT = 1250 KT ie, equal to the yield of 65 Hiroshima atom bombs on Pakistani territory (as these will be employed only after the CGs have penetrated deep into Pakistan and would be used as a last resort). And I haven't even got started on an Indian nuclear riposte! Add that to the mix and....Curtains!

What would be left of Eastern Pakistan?

It’s like cutting off your nose to spite your face! And then there's the question of validation of Pakistan's tactical nukes which have never been tested. The US deemed their tactical nukes operational only after several tests. They have long discarded the use of tactical nukes as an unwise and dangerous doctrine.

Bottom line: Use of tactical nukes? Bad idea!

This thread is not open for trolling. I request some serious discussion. Thanks. :coffee:

Your calculations are waste of time. Nasr will be shot down by Barak 8.

Pakistan is talking about nuclear weapons on daily basis to get response from India but we have been quiet. Pakistan thinks that they can get global attention to Kashmir issue by bringing in nuclear weapons. But Modi has been smart to see this and we have not responded.

. .
NASR is serving its purpose well i guess-
Indian arses are constantly on fire-2-
Will be shot down by Barak 8. No one from Indian government has made any comment on Pakistani nuclear weapons. Only ordinary Indians on PDF & reporters are discussing it.

So you have started trolling as usual since you know squat about nuclear warfare and trying to cover up your ignorance with nonsensical tripe.

Nasr isnt built for blast radius, instead it is for maximum neutron influx.Go figure that out.
Do you even know what the heck you are talking about? A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

OP calculations shows that he even don't have basic knowledge of nuclear weapons, blast yield and military formations. Nasr is specifically designed to roast armored divisions of Indian army where ever we find incoming armor attack 1 or 2 Nasr requires to take down full armored battalion less then a minute. Go ask your military expert what they think about Nasr.

. .
I think and it should be taken seriously that Pakistan should opt for using their old missiles which are not of their interest any more. Whether with low yield nuclear warheads or even with conventional warheads to target the terrorist camps outside Pakistan. Like in Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and some other areas near by.

The Missiles are, which I think are no more primary weapons of Pakistan are:
HATF-IA/B/C
Abdali
Ghaznavi
Ghouri I-II-III-IV

Primary weapons of Pakistan are:
NASR-I
Babur/Raad
Shaheen I-II-III-IV
Taimoor (may be an ex-Chinese ICBM which is now out of service)

Really? Ignorance is bliss. You haven't even the faintest idea of the effects of various types of nukes. It's a good idea to delve into details from research papers on mechanized formations in nuclear environs, before dishing out nonsense here.

Forget Blast radius and throw in Netron flux in your calculation,as in "Neutron bomb" and Nasr will start making sense.

Totally wrong

We have active systems
Hatf 1-B (A version out of service)
Hatf 2-Abdali II (In Development all previous versions out of service)
Hatf 3-Ghaznavi (In Service the most capable and versatile ballistic missile capable of carrying different warheads including thermombaric)
Hatf 4- Shaheen (1A in service and production)
Hatf 5- Ghauri (2 version in service out of production 1 is absolute)
Hatf 6- Shaheen 2 (In service and production)
Hatf 7- Babur (1 In service and production 2 under development along with naval and under water versions)
Hatf 8- Ra'ad (In service and production)
Hatf 9- Nasr (in service and production 2 version in development)

Shaheeh 3 (In development stretched up Shaheen 2 version)

no ICBM in development or production.
Not known to posses any.

Ignorance is a blessing and u r the blessed one. What is u r qualifications. I am electrical engineer (Instrumentation) have 9 years of experience.

Only some photos and videos of Hatf-IX Nasr made Indians weep badly. Just imagine their response when we will deploy these missiles in active battlefield. Every Indian armor unit will hesitate to make any advance because Nasr is there to welcome them.
