Pak-Marine sorry for asking bro ..... but these targeted killings, how do the killers find out someone is Shia or Sunni?

How from a busload of people, only the Shias are taken off and executed?

Is there something like a national I Card which says Sunni or Shia?

I know some time back there was some discussion about Muslims having to sign some declaration for the Passport? So some sub-classification?

in karachi whats happening is extremists organisations have moles in most locations , shias conduct arge public processions at the moment these moles by taking part and mixing up with regular crowd identify targets ie " people who are active in community " which are primarly any sort of organizers etc .. the same lists are provided to extremists to do a hit.

as for the bus load its simple just identify bus Routes , people travelling to Irans are mostly shia pilgrims , so most of the people travelling to gilgit , parachinar and shia majority areas. Its not hard . And as you suggested there are
Inside knowledge? Informants? Neighbors? involved.

No declaration at the moment , however idea seems to bring some thing like this at the moment , one has to undertake on passport applications its to do with ahmedis later once (IF) they (extremists) secure more power will demand another declaration.

They are different mosques but people go to each others mosque to pay a small minority does as they dont realy give a cr@p .

dont you think its very hipocratic of people like you to say just because Pakistan has taken part in WOT so its alright for good Taliban and their extremist rats to kill shias and other non - wahabi / deobandis in retaliation ? just because your fundo ideals are not threatning your kind its allright. Your time and majority will realise the day when the same fundos will point their barrels on your family , community members .. so be careful as this wil be the day when you dare disagree with them. However i hope no comunity ever face such scenario but this is where it will take us all.

@pak-marine : Dude both Karachi & Quetta are the exception to the rule for in Karachi you've got militant wings of the political parties, along side criminal elements, the TTP, Baloch Separatists or groups with linkages to them & a lot of inter-ethnic rivalry that streams violence & all of them are acting with complete impunity ! In Quetta the targeted killing of the Hazara has less to do with them being Shias as it has to do with them being traditionally not associated with Balochistan (just like the Punjabi settlers) & consequently they are being taken out by the Baloch separatists who want the both of them out of their Azad Balochistan; had they been able to & had the Pashtuns not been in these many numbers they too would have been kicked out & we all know that in the past Pashtun militants & the Baloch Separatists have clashed.

Another point to be considered is that if we are to consider this a Shia genocide then we might as well consider this a Sunni genocide as well because for every Shia procession in GB that has been attacked there have been instances where grenades were lobbed onto Sunni processions. Here in Lahore, on countless occasions, suicide bombers have rammed into Sunni mosques killing the Muezin alongside the many others in mosque whilst at other times, through out our history, armed gun men have entered mosques killing the Muezin because his interpretation wasn't correct or whether he had said something that was seen as a threat by the other party in the political context of things for our Molvis are fairly politically active if not in an electoral sense.

I think we should acknowledge that there are immense structural problems within our society & there are so many areas that we've neglected in the past that have come to haunt us now but we must also acknowledge that it isn't as if one group & one group alone is being targeted with impunity whilst the others are spared or aren't even suffering proportionately so ! If it is numbers & instances that count that the Sunnis have suffered the most in the past 10-15 years.... in fact by far the most; so lets rise above that labeling of one as the aggrieved party whilst the other as the transgressor - Both have paid in blood for being Pakistanis.

1. If this thread had been started by a Pakistani I would be think that it was a sincere attempt to discuss the problems affecting Pakistan's Shia community.

However this is just another case of Pakistan-bashing (with no sincere concern for Shias) by hate-filled Indian trolls who have never reconciled them to Pakistan's existence and ultimately want to destroy it.
