PAKISTAN’S RESPONSE TO ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA REGARDING
FORMATION OF AN ALLIANCE AGAINST TERRORISM
Islamabad: December 16, 2015

As is well known, Pakistan has consistently supported all regional and international efforts to combat militancy, extremism and terrorism and, to this end, has extended its full support and cooperation to international community. It is in this context that Pakistan welcomes the formation of the 34-Nation alliance to counter terrorism and is awaiting further details to decide the extent of its participation in different activities of the alliance.

It would be recalled that the Forty-Second Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in Kuwait this year had reiterated its commitment to relevant UN and OIC resolutions on combating terrorism and extremism and called for joining regional and international efforts to fight terrorism and extremist thought.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy close, cordial, and brotherly relations. Both countries condemn terrorism and cooperate in the efforts to eliminate this menace

Talis have been flushed out from Pakistan and we are after sleeper cells of theirs and focusing on Afghan based leadership. U seriously need to see the calendar. Its end 2015 not late 90s.

Instead of this rhetoric in every thread, it would have been better if you had also shed light on what made Pakistan support the pashtun factions during 80s 90s against northern alliance and then later a talban govt in power . what Afghanistan did with Pakistan since its naisance? Refusing to accept Pakistan, supporting nationalistic baloch elements from 50s to 70s, claiming our west end as part of Afghanistan and supporting NAP in this regards. Hosting left leaning al-zulfiqar terrorists during 80s . giving space to Pakistan biggest adversary on its land and then u expect compassion in return.. Afgans left a vaccum in their country by fighting among themselves , Pakistan had to step in so it can protect itself from the conflict seeping into their borders, it's a pretty simple thing to understand if one wants to.
