Pakistan's New Fighter Jets Can Change the Balance: The Impact of Pakistan's First...

If so , and if pakistani are so moral ( indians are definately not in this regard ) why dont they 'surreender' a smaller, disupted kashmir?

do you really dont know the history or have you become a "self-fooled" person........India promised right of self determination for Kashimiries..... I guess your following the "dont be stupid,be an idiot" theme

.
First of all the number is not 28,second f-16blk 52+ we getting are not that odd.

JF-17 and j-10 will be sharing the role.

we don't require any second choice ;our missile system never failed and is there with pin point accuracy.Choices creats confusion sometimes and are for those whose missile systems are similar to Indian ones.

Live in present....

JF 17 is just a point defence fighter and I seriously doubt PAF will use JF17 for any of these mission. Moreover you only have 8 JF 17 to fight with. You don't have J-10 right now. It is still good 5 yrs away.:)

As far as your missiles are concerned, India does possess limited BMD in the form of S300. Pakistan is defenceless in case of indian missile attacks.

your wrong buddy...india did not attack cause they knew its hard but things in international affairs did not allowed them...especially USA..who is stuck in afganistan and need pakistan to get out of it...india was in a good position...do u think our old F16 and F7 could stop 50 Su30 MKI....no sir....we might hve stopped them but with heavy price......india is prepareing for a war and they are just waiting for the right time...anything alike mumbai attack may change the whole situation any moment...and wat i feel mumbai attack was similar to Ganga blast in 1971...we should prepair ourselves and must not sit as if nothing will happen...

You know, when the Mumbai blasts took place, the whole country was so angry that they all wanted a full fledged war. One last war to end it all. But I knew no war would take place. India is still waiting. India has learnt how to play right cards at the right time. I don't see any conflict taking place in near future, but when it does, it won't be a simple pak vs india. While I agree that suspicion is but natural when it comes to the sub-continent, we should remember that both IAF as well as PAF are essentially replacing old, weary airframes with new ones. We must all agree that the mirages, A-5's, mig-21's etc all need a well deserved retirement asap and jf-17's & mki's are but a natural step to take.
Having said that, balance is something which is overrated and discussions based on airframes alone is meaningless. We must understand that even if PAF's is not able to "balance" IAF, it can easily hold ground and do serious damage if the need arises. However, I would welcome such thought process to run wild in indian MOD as it helps the armed forces to get what they need!

wat ever i mean u said it and agreed it...ur right india is waiting for the right time and yes this time it would be the world against Pak but not china.....china is not an easy pic for anybody...china is too strong and the way their economy is growing and the way the are progressing in the defence feild its not easy for anybody...their stake in world economy is growing...they are worlds 3rd biggest economy....but tell u 1 tihng china wount let any 1 pic pakistan so easily aswell...the reason is simple china need pakistan as much pakistan need china...pakistan is a wall between the world and china...i know many people wount agree with me and the only reason they would give is that china is way too strong and they dont need pakistan who's economy is so week with week political scenario and internal threat to defend china's interest but agree or not pakistan is not as week as concidered in the world.....as far as allies is concern...yes USA was pak allie and USA is now India's allie only to keep china busy...but IF the manage to defeat china through India( BIG IF) then India will be in the hit list of the USA. I agree Pakistan must do alot to as far as defence is concern....

sensible. except for one part that china would intervene. China as we all know is Pak's best ally but if China starts an all out war against India, it would be the world war III.
Most probably it would help Pak with weapons and tech.
We don't know China completely. Its treating you nice cause you buy a lot of its equipment. But no one knows how it will react when you need it.
I am not discouraging but we need to actually see china helping Pak to believe it.

.
Many factors are involved in the induction of new weapon systems but they can be summarized in two categories.

1. Cost/ performance ratio as per the requirements

2. Availability/Maintenance in difficult times such as embargoes. sanctions.

One should remember that i am talking in the context of Pakistan, not India. Having said this, after the advert of 9/11, many options were available to us but we had to pick the right one as times keep changing and Western options come with high cost, great performance, reliability and last but not least, with an additional package i.e. Sanctions! Now, in the light of our previous experiences, what was the best practical option especially when we had a lost decade not very long ago? We embarked a strategy to buy some western components for our jointly manufactured projects, but under the arrangement of license manufacturing, imported heavy machinery from Germany, Sweden and China for this purpose and began a daunting task of manufacturing technologies that we did not make previously. This strategy will help us dearly in the longer run as we will not be handicapped as we were in the 90s when Yanks seized our Falcons for no apparent reason. In my opinion, the current strategy will produce wonders for PAF in years to come and we will be thanking our Military Decision Makers, especially, Sir Muhsaf Ali Mir (Shaheed).

China had always helped us and yes Pakistan do buy lots of equipment from china and Pakistan is like ador opener for chinese milatery equipment as all muslim countries especially UAE and The Saudia....Pakistan also hve a strong interference in UAE and Saudia armed forces as most of the men working for them belong to pakistan and pakistan has build their army and airforce.....we cant say that china will practically intervene but yes they wount sit idle...:china::pakistan::pakistan:

i must say Poor perception if China just needed money from us against their hardware ( include all typ of armaments) then

why did they assist Pakistan in making a nuclear power?
why they provide us their M-11 missiles?

if money was the only thng then Egypt is also a main defence customer of China
Why didnt China assist Egypt or anyother country in nuclear technology?or missile technology?

its because both have common enemy i.e India
everyone knows their cant b peace forever between Pakistan and india also between China and india the pece may b in patches,For India China seems to be hurdle in their way of so called becoming a regional power vice versa so i dun thnk China will ever miss a chance to take on india,
dun forget 1962 war if u have red history u must come across a reality that when China attacked india and india was helpless China asked Pakistan to infiltrate their army in kashmir and retain or recapture their lost part i.e Kahsmir but Pakistan didnt ( well it was another story)
so dun be so optimistic

well with due respect.....it will only be India Vs Pak+China (Which I still dont think).....the whole world would not like to involve itself....even Russia cuz nobody likes to get his house catch fire for nothing...not even Israel cuz they are running good relationships with China....so overall world response would be "deal with it your self"....

India has earned the confidence of the whole world. It would use the world to fight against Pak. I don't know why Pak is not recognizing this. They need to do something quick. US was your ally. But now its ours. You need to gain the confidence of the world and rid Pak of extremism.
Its not that the India has earned it....but it is due to the fact that Pakistani forign office was unable to correctly respond and counter Indian diplomatic offence for the time being....the Indian leadership had only one statement every where in the world.....you know what it was i dont have to repeat it my self. US is favoring India, not because it has friendship or what....because it is seeing its global position challanged by China......The west does n't like China......in short the current mentality of favouring India is "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"....The only country that USA considers to be its true friend is Israel...well its all about deplomacy....and given the current instances...I think our foreign office has gained some of lost ground.

India is waiting for one more mishap from Pakistan side, which will trigger tensions and India would get a nod from the US and other allies to start a war. And this time there would be no ceasefire.[/QUOTE]

Well its still undecided that the current mishap is caused by Pakistan.....I think you haven't read Qassab's latest statement to court in which he denied all the charges and said that he was kidnapped by Indian security services and then they tortured him for confession....here is an interesting article

There appears to be more than one Mohammad Ajmal Amir Qasab
On 20 July 2009, we are told that the Mumbai suspect has admitted his guilt

According to the BBC, 20 July 2009, little is known of the background of the alleged Mumbai 'terrorist' Mohammed Ajmal Amir Qasab.

Profile: Mohammad Ajmal Amir Qasab

According to the BBC, "Indian officials originally portrayed him as a middle-class boy who spoke good English.

"But subsequent reports suggested he came from a remote village called Faridkot, where his father sold food.

"He had received little education, the reports said, and had spent his youth alternating between labouring and petty crime."

Qasab reminds us of Lee Harvey Oswald who reportedly was sometimes in two places at once and had two different personalities. Apparently the CIA used two different Oswalds in its work.

Two Oswalds Theories in the JFK Assassination

Qasab reminds us of Mohammad Atta who reportedly had a double.

The Qasab case reminds us of the case involving the attack on the Indian Parliament in 2001.

In 2008, in The Guardian, we read:

"It was after the 2001 parliament attack that the first serious questions began to be raised. A campaign by a group of lawyers and activists exposed how innocent people had been framed by the police and the press, how evidence was fabricated, how witnesses lied, how due process had been criminally violated at every stage of the investigation."

Arundhati Roy: Mumbai .

A Pakistani lawyer C M Farooque has claimed that Ajmal Kasab was arrested in Nepal by the Indian security services before 2006.

Ajmal Kasab Was Kidnapped Before 2006 From Nepal By Indian ...

What was the purpose of the Mumbai attacks?

Here is a clue.

On 20 July 2009, India and the United States agreed a defence deal.

This is expected to boost US arms sales.

India also approved sites for two US nuclear reactors.

India, US agree on defence deal, nuclear reactor sites

Who is this?

The Indian authorities claim that they have in custody one of the Mumbai gunmen responsible for the November 2008 attacks.

This 21 year old 'gunman' is Mohammad Ajmal Amir Iman, also known as Kasav, Qasab, Kamal, Kasab, Qasab, Qasam, Kasab, Kasar, and Kamaal (Ajmal Kasab - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Ajmal Amir seems to be being used to disguise the false-flag nature of the Mumbai Attacks.

The reports about Ajmal Amir are contradictory and confusing.

1. One moment we are told he stayed for several days at the Taj Hotel; the next moment we are told he got straight off a boat and started a killing spree.

(NDTV.com: Terrorists stayed in room 630, had many visitors)

2. There are reports that he had bullet wounds and reports that he did not have bullet wounds.
(No bullet hit Kasab, no active treatment on, says hospital's dean)

3. There are reports that one of his fellow gunmen was arrested at Cana Hospital and reports suggesting that nobody was arrested there.

(According to the BBC: "2120-2200: Gunmen raid the Cama and Albless Hospital ... One attacker is captured here." - (BBC NEWS South Asia Timeline: Mumbai under attack)

4. There are reports that Ajmal Amir speaks fluent English and reports that he is a rather illiterate and poorly educated criminal.

5. We are told that 8 gunmen were arrested and then we are told that only Ajmal Amir was arrested.

(“The Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh told Associated Press that two British-born Pakistanis were among the eight gunmen arrested by Indian authorities.” - Four Mumbai terrorists ‘had links with Britain’)

6. We are told that the gunmen at the railway station and elsewhere were white men and yet Ajmal Amir is reportedly from Pakistan.

(BBC NEWS Mumbai attackers create 'killing zone' / Mumbai Attackers were 'Hindus' and 'White Men' )

7. We are told that the gunmen who shot Karkare spoke Marathi and then we are told that it was Ajmal Amir and his Pakistani friend who shot Karkare.

(The Marathi daily 'Maharashtra Times' said the terrorists who targeted Anti Terrorism Squad chief Hemant Karkare were speaking Marathi fluently. (i.e. they were not from Pakistan) Reportedly, traditional Jews from Mumbai, who have migrated to Israel, speak fluent Marathi and are known to have been recruited by Mossad.)

There is doubt, therefore, that Ajmal Amir did the shooting that he is supposed to have done.

At what point may Ajmal Amir have been recruited by people from some group, such as Lashkar-e Taiba, who work for the CIA or Mossad or RAW or ISI or MI6?

Lashkar-e Taiba (LeT) took part in the Bosnian War against Serbia. (http://www.satp.org/satporgtp/lashkar_e_toiba.htm)

LeT is the Moslem group, operating in Jammu and Kashmir, that has been blamed for the Mumbai Attacks.

LeT reportedly has links to the Pakistan and UK intelligence services. (US and UK links to the terrorists in India and Pakistan)

Reportedly:

Ajmal Amir is from a poor family in a poor village called Faridkot in Pakistan.

He went to school until age 13.

He left home after a fight with his father in 2005.

He then became involved in petty crime with his friend Muzaffar Lal Khan, soon moving on to armed robbery.

Reportedly, the security services like to employ criminals to do their dirty work.

In 2007, in Rawalpindi, Ajmal Amir and his friend decided to sign up for training with Lashkar-e-Taiba, ending up at their base camp, Markaz Taiba.

Initial reports suggested Ajmal Amir was fluent in English, and from a middle class background. (Father of gunman, Amir, 'paid by terrorists to hand him over')

Some sources said his father asked him to join Lashkar-e-Taiba so that he could use the money they gave him to run the family (Kasab says his father sent him to LeT )

Ajmal Amir is alleged to be among a group of 24 men who received training in marine warfare at a remote camp in mountainous Muzaffarabad in Pakistani-controlled Azad Kashmir. Part of the training is reported to have taken place on the Mangla Dam reservoir. (Rumours abound as inquiry begins its search for truth")

Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, a senior commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, reportedly offered to pay his family Rs.150,000 for his participation in the attacks. (Pakistan now holds the key to probe: investigators)

Another report said the 21-year old man was recruited from his Punjab, Pakistan home in part based on a pledge by recruiters to pay USD $1,250 US (Rs. 62,412.50) to his family when he became a martyr. Other sources put the reward to USD $4,000. (Bombs found in Mumbai train station a week later, National Public Radio, Mumbai Terrorist Wanted to 'Kill and Die' and Become Famous )

According to a media report citing an unnamed former Defence Department Official of the US, the intelligence agencies of the US had determined that the former officers from Pakistan’s Army and its powerful Inter-Services Intelligence agency assisted actively and continuously in training.

Reportedly Ajmal Amir said to his Indian captors: "We were told that our big brother India is so rich and we are dying of poverty and hunger. My father sells dahi wada on a stall in Lahore and we did not even get enough food to eat from his earnings. I was promised that once they knew that I was successful in my operation, they would give Rs 150,000 [almost USD 4,000] to my family)," said Qasab. (Mumbai Terrorist Wanted to Kill and Die and Become Famous, ABC News, 03-Dec-2008)

Reportedly Ajmal continued: "If you give me regular meals and money I will do the same for you that I did for them."

"When we asked whether he knew any verses from the Quran that described jihad, Ajmal Amir said he did not," police said. "In fact he did not know much about Islam or its tenets," according to a police source. (Mumbai Terrorist Wanted to Kill and Die and Become Famous, ABC News, 03-Dec-2008 )

"Please do not tell anyone that I am caught alive otherwise they will kill me. They had told us that they would shoot us if we ever returned to Pakistan", he said, according to the Asian Age, as quoted by ABC (USA). (Mumbai Terrorist Wanted to Kill and Die and Become Famous, ABC News, 03-Dec-2008 )

Reportedly, Ajmal Amir was captured on CCTV during his attacks at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus along with another terrorist, Ismail Khan.

Ajmal Amir reportedly told the police that they wanted to replicate the attack on Islamabad's Marriott hotel attack, and reduce the Taj Hotel to rubble, replicating the 9/11 attacks in India. (PLANNED 9/11 AT TAJ: CAUGHT TERRORIST)

Reportedly:

Ajmal Amir and his accomplice Abu Dera Ismail Khan, age 25, attacked the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (Victoria Terminus) railway station.

They then moved on to attack a police vehicle at Cama Hospital, in which Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad Chief Hemant Karkare, was traveling.

Azam and Ismail Khan then drove towards Metro cinema and then towards Vidhan Bhavan.

Their vehicle had a tire puncture, so they stole a silver Škoda Laura and drove towards Girgaum Chowpatty. They met a police barricade on Marine Drive. Abu Ismail was killed and Ajmal Amir was captured.

Some reports said that Ajmal Amir was shot and had bullet wounds in his hand or both hands. (Sole Captured Suspect Offers Grim Insights Into Massacre )

There are other reports by doctors who treated him that he had no bullet wounds. (No bullet hit Kasab, no active treatment on, says hospital's dean)

Reportedly:

Ajmal Amir disclosed the location of a fishing trawler, MV Kuber, that the gunmen reportedly used to enter Mumbai's coastal waters. He also told investigators where they would find the ship captain's body, a satellite phone and a global-positioning device. (Sole captured suspect offers grim insights into massacre, 2008)

It is reported that Ajmal Amir told the police that he and his associate, Ismail Khan, were the ones who shot Anti-Terror Squad chief Hemant Karkare, encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar and Additional Commissioner Ashok Kamte.

Reportedly, Ajmal Amir told the police he entered the Taj Hotel posing as a student from Mauritius and stored explosives in a room. (Arrested terrorist reveals all to police)

Ajmal Amir reportedly revealed that he and his associate stayed in Room 630 in the Taj Mahal Palace hotel and had many visitors. They had booked the room for four days using fake Mauritian identities. (NDTV.com: Terrorists stayed in room 630, had many visitors)

On November 29, Ajmal Amir named his colleagues as Abu Ali, Fahad, Omar, Shoaib, Umer, Abu Akasha, Abu Ismail Dera Ismail Khan, Abdul Rahman (Bara), and Abdul Rahman.

Reportedly Ajmal Amir has told his interrogators that their plan was to get off the dinghy near the fishing village at Badhwar Park, Cuffe Parade, at dusk and strike all targets except Nariman House between 19:00 and 20:00. However, the landing was delayed and they arrived at 20.45. (We wanted to hit CST at peak hour, says arrested terrorist)
Nona: There appears to be more than one Mohammad Ajmal Amir Qasab
and furthermore
RAWALPINDI: A Pakistani lawyer C M Farooque claimed that many people, including Ajmal Kasab, were arrested before 2006 from Kathmandu by the Indian agencies with the help of Nepalese forces.

He said Ajmal Kasab went to the Napalese capital on a business tour. His application regarding his arrest was lying pending in the Nepalese Supreme Court in which a reply was sought from Nepalese forces and Indian High Commission.

While talking to the Geo News, C M Farooque Advocate said the Nepalese forces arrested almost 200 people including Ajmal Kasab before 2006 and his application in this regard was lying pending in the Nepalese Supreme Court in which Nepalese forces and Indian High Commission were made respondents.

The advocate said he wrote letters to Pakistan and Indian governments in this regard. He said that he had also addressed a press conference in Nepal highlighting the issue in which he revealed that the Nepalese forces arrested Ajmal Kasab and many others and held them at an unknown place and that these people would be used for their ulterior designs at some later stage. He said that he had no contact with Ajmal Kasab ever since he disappeared.

The lawyer said he was still pleading the case of Kasab and was to visit Nepal towards the end of this month. The Nepalese Supreme Court had repeatedly issued notices to the respondents to furnish their reply but they did not submit any reply.

Advocate Farooque said he had filed the petition in the Nepalese Supreme Court in February 2008. He said he was running an NGO, ‘Voice of Human and Prisoners Rights’ and the parents of Ajmal Kasab contacted him for help in this regard after appealing to the Pakistan Government for help.

The people arrested in Nepal had gone there on legal visa for business but Indian agencies were in the habit of capturing Pakistanis from Nepal and afterwards implicated them in the Mumbai-like incidents to malign Pakistan.

and yes coming back to allies point don't ever think that you will get allies like US managed to get....What possibally do you see joining you in your war????? (US and Europe wont cuz China already has and Pakistan is developing its ICBM) they wont risk it simply.....

As american congress and politicians say.

there are no alliances, only interests. dude.so don't go counting on alliance, dude.

Pakistan has the first hand experience, take our adivise. don't thump your chest for your reasons and your logic. these reasons may not be of those you are assuming about.

So.. Basically you are relaying on India not to attack. As your army chief said "You plan on an adversary's capability and not intentions, while the capability takes years to build, intentions may change overnight and Pakistan simply cannot depend on India’s intentions
Suppose in response of a terror strike India decided to attack, then what will be your response...Don't attack us, we will be ready by 2025.
Defense is a serious matter...your forces should be ready at all time. You can't rely on other nation to protect you and Pakistan is expecting direct support from china in case of war. Help even in the form of supplies will be difficult because India will try to block your sea routes and will surely attack your Karakorum highway.
India is enhancing its offensive capabilities greatly and that is evident from latest acquisitions. India is getting the best of weapons available in the world and widening the gap so much that Pakistan will cease to remain a challenge.

.
We will challenge you by thousands nuclear bombing on your lands, seas, and oceans. Let's see who is alive. Don't forget Pakistan is 7th world of the nuclear capables missiles. :disagree:

That's the best weapons it is available today.

Yes Yes Why not? Pakistan is the only country that possesses nuclear weapons.:rofl::rofl: Pakistan is 7th .....then what is India's rank. Pressing nuclear button is not as easy as you think. Pressings nuclear button will invite massive Indian retaliation.

India will thrash you black and blue in conventional war in order to finish your conventional fighting capability. India will not capture any territories and will never give you any excuse to launch a single nuclear missile.
