How can't he? My understanding is, the army has said no and the parliament has said no. How can he along with his infamous allies jump into it. My guess, it is unlikely unless Saudis want to give something like 500 billion dollars to Pakistan, in cash.

Well a few days ago I was reading a newspaper, possibly dawn or dailytimes and I came across a group of "political parties" allying against Iran and with Saudi Arabia. Then I read the names. Among others one was Ahle sunnat wal jamaat known as ASWJ and the butcher of shias in Pakistan. From that moment I realized what kind of people really wanted us to act, and come to Saudis aid in Yemen. Even jamaat ud dawa was on the list.

Not surprisingly Nawaz Sharif the current ruler of Pakistan and his party PMLN had an alliance with ASWJ for the previous election. Leaders of the LEJ move around with full protocol and armed retinues. The logic is that if they are killed there will be sectarian tensions. Well the question is aren't there sectarian tensions when shias are killed constantly in Quetta. You might say I am sympathetic to the jaish e Muhammed. I say I am despite being a sunni because they have never targetted civilians like the Taliban and Lashkar E Jhangvi have.

The best thing we can do here is remain neutral and play the role of mediator.

I am agree with you. But you already know that. The only point I want to raise, is that things are not hat hopeless. Judging by reading Pakistan's media and the reaction of people, I see a change. A massive one. First @Desert Fox pointed this out for me, but I could not completely understand it. I guess I do now. The people of Pakistan themselves have revolted against being played as puppet this time. And if this is true, then you can expect only good ahead. Since it means, people will create their own national identity independent of others. And this is a very important stage in development of a nation, specially in case of a young nation like Pakistan. Let's hope that this progress does not die in its infancy.

He is prime minister, So army have to either comply or kick him out (like his last tenure) but army will put the ball in his court this time.

Maybe you are right. But from the history I have read, Pakistani Generals are not that passive. They might let the mouse play for a while but they are quick to rein him in if things start to get out of control.

@Daneshmand you do realize the resolution allows for Pakistani troops to be sent to Saudi Arabia...They will not cross the border into Yemen as expected by the G.C.C earlier but we will see some kind of token force being sent to Saudi Arabia to manage Saudi concerns

@Daneshmand ..I have been following your posts and your threads for the last few days...funnily enough, none of your countrymen share your enthusiasm and your eagerness. With the excellent diplomacy shown by the Iranian officials - I for one know that they are smart enough to not bet on a three legged donkey in a full blooded stallion's race. Hilariously, the Saudi's learnt it the hard way, and the whole fear psychosis was induced by the Iranians fantastically.

That is why the Pakistan parliament unanimous decision to remain neutral is so important. It reasserted Pakistan on international scene.

This is same parliment who passed how many motion againest drone strikes ??.INDONT REMEMBER but what happened ?kaka things r going towards saudia way .

That is good. Personally, if I were you, I would tell the Saudis this:

1) Pakistan military is not cheap. As the French five star hotels are not cheap. As the latest Boeing and Airbus planes are not cheap. If you want these, you have to pay for them. You pay for the last two, why not for the first as well.

2) Pakistan has a serious debt and infrastructure problem.

3) 500 billion dollars will go a long way to address alot of Pakistan's problems. Saudi Arabia has 800 billion dollars cash in its foreign reserves. A wire transfer is all that is required. From Saudi central bank to Pakistan State bank.

4) Saudi Arabia has more war planes than it needs. Maybe it should share some of them with Pakistan. If Pakistan is to share the lives of its soldiers, why can't Saudis share 50 Tornados, 50 Typhoons and 50 F-15's. Give them to Pakistan and when and if you needed it, they will be sent back home.

They are all having exams and are busy. Saudis have made grave mistakes. Extremely grave.

You didn't write the article. Now, when there is such an obvious lie being presented in an effort to appear clever, it's hard to take whatever else the author may as as the truth.
Even the bullshit claim of Sunni-Shia war makes more sense than what this author is saying.

There wasn't any direct confrontation between Indian & Pakistani air-forces for over past 4 decades and they (Pak air force) never had a direct confrontation with Israeli air force. And Turkish Air force outclasses Pakistani one in every aspect.
