Dont mind but when ones own house needs repairs you dont run to others to fix his first. I hope u get the point, and form what I have seen thus far is that your country choses its friends on the bases of profit and lose scenarios. So the charity in Afghanistan has its own P&L scenarios for you guys. There is nothing like a free give away.

I dont see India making any kind of profits.India runs a hospital there which does not charge anything.On the contrary India pays for the accomodation and safety of the medical staff attched to it.India is building the Afghan parliament and i dont see India making any kinds of profit by doing so.There are numerous other projects which are not profit oriented.Its true that our country needs repairs but we have sufficient wealth to help others.

It is no secret that India, US and Russia have been helping Northern Alliance, and why should they not?

NA has been fighting Taliban and after 2001, NA has been helping US forces fight Taliban.

At one point in time the whole Afghanistan was under Taliban influence. It was NA that saved Afghanistan.

Even china was sending aid to NA. It was just Pakistan and US(before 9/11) who supported Taliban. All other countries wanted Taliban to lose support in Afghanistan.

Yes, 9/11 was the turning point after which US started supporting NA. But they still did a commendable job, since they had lost everything in 1996, and Taliban was being supported by Pakistan. NA were fighting a losing war.

But is it any better govt than Taliban. No.

NA is same in Afghanistan as the Taliban. But in order to kill Taliban, it was important that we supported NA.

NA is not a terrorist organization since it kept its influence in Afghanistan itself. They were the govt there. NA never tried to expand its influence beyond Afghanistan, whereas Taliban has a goal to spread Islam in the whole world force it down our throats, and their version of Islam.

But in no way am I supporting these groups because NA too like Taliban killed thousands to enforce their version of law.

well my friend, as much as you want me to take you guys as saints! sorry not happening. Yes there are things that india is doing there that is why I said PNL (profit and loss) the profit is destabilizing Pakistan, having more influence in Afghanistan. And the loss is the loss of revenue. And also you want o believe all that your gov is telling you, and part of that is that Pakistan is bad. so live with it. The major issue is that ISI for some reason is a royal pain in the @$$ for your establishment. And the only way to get back at them is either by the dirty tricks of espionage which is a fair game. OR defaming their name by hook or by crook. Now yes the report published is not written by an indian, but is used by many to argue their point. Where as many here who are not politicians, nor bureaucrat, and definitely not army men or secret agents have been shredding it to pieces. It is clearly evident by the report that some 3rd grade agent was given the task to come up with (a nice 1980's era hollywod movie/ current bollywood script) report to flood the news media outlets with to put more pressure on Pakistan. I don't think that they were a good fighting force. And they are not a good force even now. Grounds facts prove it. The fact is that NA commanders was always defecting to one side and the other for the sake of power and money.

NA were a lot weaker than the Taliban. In fact NA were formed very late and it is comprised of different leaders of different ethnicity who never agreed on one thing.

Also the aid India and Russia could manage was very low since India and Russia both were going through economic crisis in 90s and Russia had broken down.

yes. but LSE specialises in economics and furthermore they dont have any war or insurgency related course.
