Pakistan’s inflation rate jumps to 7.19 per cent in January 2019

rice 0.1 rupees per kg
wheat 0.09 per kg
soap free
patrol 0.99 rupees per letter
diesel 1 rupee per letter

Nice damage control, buddy. But current Government's whole social focus is to impower the poor, and it was throughout their campaign as well. You shouldn't be comparing, you should be seeing how successful and true have they been to their promises.

Even if we compare, the current inflation is worse than the inflation rate during the previous Government's tenure.

The problem for PTI is they have no experience running the country, and they came in power when you need much more experienced politicians to deal with the current problem, not newbies.

Regardless of who is in the government, there is no magic wand to fix things. You put the sead for apple and expect mangoes to grow, that does not happened. Previous governments were as incompetent as current government but at least current government is changing policies to improve things. It will take time, 30 years of neglect can’t be fixed in 6 months. It will take 5 to 10 years. Do you want IK to dissolve assembly? Then What? What is the alternative? Do You want corrupt mafia to come back in power and go back to IMF to take more loans?
Saudi, UAE don’t trust PMLN government and won’t bail them out. What other option is there? You want Moulana Fazulur Rahman to become PM? He is full of hot air and does not know anything about running government.
All of those who are talking nonsense know that Pakistan is in this condition because of their wrong policies. These are the real enemy of state who destroy every government institution. They are working on foreign agenda and will be willing to compromise on nuclear assest. The moment these corrupt mafia compromised on Nuclear assests, Pakistan decline will start and western power will make Pakistan worsen then Iraq, Yemen and Syria.

Your primary economic problem is the trade with China. Imran Khan doesn't have the kind of influence with the Chinese that Sharif did.

What Imran Khan did is apply band-aid. The real problem is yet to come, when you have more loans to pay back and the trade deficit will stay the same, maybe even increase.

He is trying his best to bring in other players like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Russia.

The Prime Minister is not supposed to be an expert on every single issue in the entire country - that's why we have Ministers and Advisers. The PM's job is to assemble a competent team and provide a vision & direction for the country.

That said, what are the PMLN or PPP proposals to address the various issues?

What influence did Sharif have that was significantly greater than IK's?

Pakistan's issues can only be resolved long term (something the PTI recognizes) - in the meantime, band aids are required.

That's not going to help when you have a major deficit with your main trade partner.
That 'major trade deficit' came about during the last two governments, including 5 years of a Sharif government that you claim has 'significant influence with China'.

please forget pmln and ppp.these two corrupt parties are now opposition.government must do homework.i understand your point.i know imran khan thinks that we can change this country but we have to implement it using actions.i haven't seen any great work yet.there should be something for an average or poor class person.when he took the governance,he increased sood(interest) so rich are happy because almost all of them love interest and they have huge amount of money in the banks, safe and secure, each month they will get more interest.it can please rich but what about the poor?

What kind of 'great work' are you looking for? Part of the problem is that mega projects like the kind that the Sharif's prefer are not going to resolve the problems. All of Pakistan's problems (revenue generation, expanding the industrial base, increasing exports, energy etc) require long term solutions. Even if reforms are enacted, the results won't be obvious immediately. We have to at least give the PTI all 5 years and then assess the direction that the country is going in.
