Pakistan’s four F-16s detected close to Punjab border, IAF’s Sukhoi, Mirage pushed them back: Report

lol it were JF17s who shot down...u can see the video of Sq Ldr hassan Siddiqui celebration the kill in his hanger pin after parking his aircraft after that sorties and as u can see it was a JF17.....And we need to remember that it was he who is credited with Su30 downing. @0:30

and here is his call with his senior where he is saying that even 30% of the whole event hasnt been told in media yet.....and talks about the Close Air Support he gave to the troops whole night during the over night offensive into IOK from three directions @bhimber, Sialkot and Narowal along Working Boundary and had ponded abt 300 of their troops himself at one of his sorties that night.

Actually the only prey seems to be the Indian public, amongst all the version put out by New Delhi, one is that on detecting the UAV, India scrambled it's SU-30s and in response to that PAF scrambled it's own F-16s.
Next will be the IAF challenged the UAV but it turned back.

Keep you eyes and ears open and have fun ....
Things are getting very interesting...

Are you sure this wasn't a balloon with F-16 written on it?

Not as of now, if this escalates or if this continues for long, those days one be far that ballons with F-16 written with a pilot flying in air will be reality.

Then you should be happy because balloons are the only flying objects your Su30 seem to be capable of destroying

All this F-16 fear mongering going on in Indian media is a deliberate attempt to achieve 3 main purposes.

1: They want to down play the JF-17, to take away some shine from its performance and tarnish its reputation if they could

2: They want to lessen their embarrassment as they cant deal with the fact that their *** was kicked by some "chini metal box" as they used to say about thunder.

3: By creating this F-16 fear Indian government will push for G2G /direct procurement of new jets hence a lot of corruption money for modi and his friends.

just saying

As I said in one of the post, India is only lying & their capability of lying is increasing daily.

please wide your sight . f-16 story started in 1982 and since then we have so many option . do you mean the countries whom did not have f-16 they are unable to defend themselves ? there are always ways if someone try to find out . world did not start and end at US defense products .

Pakistan tried Gripen? what happened with that
Unless Pakistan went for Typhoon , Rafael & Russia their were no options
at that time Russian wouldn't have sold any jets even if Pakistan had paid in advance
Typhoon is too expensive
Gripen has US engine and parts so its same story as F16
Even if Pakistan was able to get few Rafale with Indian MCRA and early plans to buy 100+ Rafale
Pakistan would have been abandoned

Pakistan’s four F-16s detected close to Punjab border, IAF’s Sukhoi, Mirage pushed them back: Reports

The Indian Air Force's Sukhoi-30MKIs and Mirage jets pushed backed a large-sized UAV and a package of four Pakistani F-16 jets flying close to the Indian border in Khemkaran sector in Punjab at 3 am on Monday. After the Indian response, the Pakistani jets retreated further into their territory, according to news agency ANI.

This incident came days after the Indian Army on March 8 shot down an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), also known as drone, in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar sector around 7.30 pm. This was the fourth time Pakistani drone destroyed by India along the IB since February 26 air strike on Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror camp in Balakot inside Pakistani territory.

Few days earlier, a Pakistani drone was detected by a ground-based radar station in Rajasthan's Bikaner and minutes later one of the Sukhoi-30 jets deployed in the area to keep an eye on Indian air space shot it down. The Pakistani military drone was targeted at around 11:30 am in Bikaner-Nal sector in Rajasthan.

It was the second unsuccessful attempt by Pakistan to send a spy drone inside India in the last six days. On February 27, a day after the air strike, a Pakistani drone was shot down by India along the Indo-Pak border in Kutch district of Gujarat. The Indian Air Force has kept all its bases in the Western sector on maximum alert after the Balakot strike.

The Indian Air Force carried out pre-dawn airstrikes on February 26 and destroyed major launch pads of the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed, which was behind the February 14 Pulwama terror attack. Several reports claimed that the ‘Surgical Strike 2.0’ decimated Jaish's Alpha 3 Control Rooms located in Balakot, Muzaffarabad and Chakothi in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.

More than 10 bombs were dropped by the multi-role fighter jet Mirage 2000 at around 3:30 am on February 26 morning. Understandably, Pakistan has downplayed the airstrike. The aerial attack came a day after Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held a high-level meeting with all three service chiefs.

Following the strike, the Pakistani Air Force also entered the Indian air space and dropped bombs on military establishment in Kashmir. However, IAF planes scrambled the Pakistani jets and destroyed one of them. In the intense aerial battle, an Indian jet was also downed by Pakistani fighter planes.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the Pakistan Army rejected that Indian claims that a Pakistani F-16 was shot down in an air battle on February 27.

“Reference repeated Indian claims about shooting down of Pakistani F-16 by India and use of F16 in air battle on 27 February. The event of 27 Feb is part of history now. No Pakistani F16 was hit by Indian airforce,” said the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

ISPR added that Pakistan Air Force (PAF) strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) were carried out by JF-17 from within Pakistan airspace.

“Later when 2 Indian jets crossed LOC they were shot down by PAF. Whether it was F16 or JF17 which shot down 2 Indian aircrafts is immaterial,” added the statement.

“Even if F-16 have been used as at that point in time complete PAF was airborne including F16s, the fact remains that Pakistan Airforce shot down two Indian jets in self-defence. India can assume any type of their choice even F-16."
