There were lot of programmes on their television and articles written how Pakistan was going to be swamped by Indians. This data shows that the anti Indian lobby is very strong in Pakistan and they do propoganda for scaring the public and stop normalization.

Stupidest thing I have ever heard.

Nothing stupid look at the number of programmes and articles which speak of the ills of opening doors to India on TV and newspapers. Look at the number of people saying Pakistan will suffer due to MFN as India has put up lot of non tariff trade barriers. Despite of such propaganda the rising exports prove that there is no basis for such fear and this is the work of people with vested interests.

You know not exactly for example i watched a program by moeed peerzada (a good anchor always tries to get the answers than force the interview) and the business person talking did stand strong that business with India is good and infact he already had some kind of business going in India. There are persons encouraging for business with India as we can give access to not only Indian market but also by setting up offices here they can enter the world.

However there seems to be a lobby group which is afraid of competition, doesn't want to loose its monopoly. Case in point their Auto Industry.
