If it was for me i would cut 1 trillion pdsp budget (2.1 trillion including provinces: 20.9 billion USD) as most of it is going the way of corruption... and increse defence budget to 15 billion this year alone

Rs 800b. KPK budget alone is Rs 140 billion. We have yet to get figures from bigger provinces like punjab and sindh.

9Billion is not enough, it should be 15billion plus because of growing demand of our Defence.

BISP is full of corruption & is only benefiting the corrupt, this useless & corrupt program should be shut down & its budget should go back to PD as this was originally PD budget & was forcefully cut down by corrupt ppp in their corrupt time of rule.

We need to procure a new platform for the Air Force, I don't understand why Paf is so indifferent to the reality. The only answer our airforce reps seem to have for all their worries is JF17. They need to get out of this one sided mindset and put some serious effort into procuring a new platform.

I fail to understand this strange jf17 mentality. I mean we know it's a potent aircraft but whatever happened to diversification?
You ask our PAF reps how we are going to counter mig29s, their answer is Jf17, you ask them about mirage 2000, the answer is jf17, you ask them about su30s, answer is jf17, now what about rafales? More jf17s.

We need a newwwww fighter!!! How hard is this for paf to understand, even money is not a problem now.

9 billion US is still very low, simply for the fact that Pakistan now manufacture about 70% of its defence related arms, including fighter jets(JF-17) to Al-Khalid battle tanks and just about everything.

India imports about 90% of defence equipment from US, Russia and European countries hence high defence budget of 53 billion USD.

Pakistan doing much better here if you look at the 1:2, 1:3 ratio of Pakistan and India armaments including number of air crafts, tanks, number of troops...the ratio is much lower here in numbers than the low defence budget of Pakistan suggests.

All of these full spectrum defense staffs +WOT with this meager $9b!!!!!!!! I'm not buying it!!! There must be some constantly tickling "HUUUGEE" resources somewhere "hidden" like the "hidden Imam"!!!!!

Most Airforces keep a single Multi Role platform so this shouldnt come as a shock that JF 17 is backbone of our air fleet. JF Thunder can perform defensive roles perfectly whereas F16 can take the fight to the enemy. IF you think that having ten different types of fighter aircrafts is a blessing then think again as it is a nightmare in terms of fleet servicing and maintainance.

Pakistan is already looking for a 5th Gen platform to replace F-16 so we have an overall well balanced fleet. It will probably take another decade to procure new platform as any 5th Gen platform will require lot of financial commitment.
