our economy is EIGHT times bigger than yours, so we are capable to buy more within short period of time, your military will not match our might NEVER. our core focus is china and its aggressive possessive policy. you ppl are hardly a challenge to us.

not eight times. its more than 10-11 times and its growing unlike thers.
pakistans current ecnonomy
$210 billion (nominal)(2011)
$488 billion (GDP-PPP) (2011)

while indian economy ending march fiscal with 7% growth could be
2.1 trillion nominial
4.9-5 trilliion ppp

I beg to differ ... Your Govt and army top brass dont seem to agree with you ... Almost every new doctrine and military purchase is Pakistan centric i.e CSD and Two front war ... So please enlighten them first ...

About the economy part , agreed ... But you just cant buy a nuclear sub actually ... You have to build it yourself ... Money has little to do with it ... Depends upon how fast you can build and 15 subs till 2020 is a near impossible estimate ...
Are you kidding.
Almost every new doctrine and military purchase is Pakistan centric
Which Indian purchases are Pakistan centric.
Kindly enlighten us, on this issue.
On the contrary, the reason for the existence of Pakistan is the anger against Hindus and India, Kashmir and whatnot.
Right back at ya.

.
^^ Enlighten you on what ? CSD ?

How many transport planes have you recently purchased to pursue your dreams of blitzkrieg ? :azn:

This is just one , among others ...

And because you remain Pakistan-centric ... Proves that we are still a hard nut to crack for you despite what some Indians here are propagating constantly ...

CSD has come and gone years ago.
Our army is theatre-centric.
And if you have any idea what that means, there won't be any need to question our military purchases.
If anything, they are China-centric.
And how on earth did you assume that us buying a few transports to replace our older and less capable ones, has anything to do with a 'blitzkrieg' on Pakistan.

.
It is clear as day, that the development of a Pakistani nuclear sub-surface vessel terrifies the living daylights out of the citizens of the entity to the east.

Its not buying just a few transport planes to replace the old ones , these planes were brought right after the CSD was revealed to the world ... Now what message does it give ? :azn:

Your army isn't theatre centric ... Dont get me started on the fragile defenses along the Sino-Indian border ...

and prove me that CSD has come and gone ?

sir,
both the countries aren't stranger to each other, both have developed counters for every radical weapon system the others have acquired. One nuke sub on paper is not an existential threat to India and it would ridiculous that we are loosing sleep because of that. We already have one nuke s/m on the fleet and one undergoing trial of the aforementioned system, with the second one in dock right now and 3 (arihant atv class) planned. the sheer size of the Indian naval armada is more than enough to overwhelm PN for decades to come. PN acquisitions are different, f22P's the chinese frigates are barely in the class of IN Kamorta class corvette's. No destroyers, no corvette's , pakistans flotilla is not going to skyrocket with addition f a nuke submarine.

Indian shipbuilding industry has evolved into a big powerhouse with its order books full for next 8 years today, IN is building A/c carriers , destroyers, frigates, nuke subs, indegeniously, whereas PN is struggling to build a single combat ship,

An addition of a nuke sub will definitely ad teeth to PN, but still PN is years behind to terrify your eastern friends.
thanks

Some more mentions of IN projects :

-- Talwar-class Frigates
-- Car-Nicobar class FACs ( Fast Attack Crafts )
-- Landing Ship Tank (LST)
-- Fleet tankers
-- Coastal Radar network

Future :

-- Barak 8 / Brahmos Hypersonic testing & induction
-- MRMR Reconnaissance aircraft

that is correct.

by its own admission, PN is a coastal navy and its main purpose is to protect its costs and merchant ships. whereas Indian Navy is a truly a blue water navy and is only second to US naval fleet in the region.

due to a small coast line and territory in the Sea, the PN comes 3rd in the priority in the allocation of funds for a bigger naval force (that it is) for all the debatable reasons. main constraint is as you mentioned the funds and the strategy and goals in the region.

but its a potent force nonetheless to deter an casual or ambitious designs.

ISLAMABAD Pakistan Naval ( PN ) Chief Admiral Asif Sandila, in an interview to the US weekly, Defense News, responding to a question regarding the threat Pakistan faces from an Indian nuclear-powered, nuclear-armed ballistic submarine upsetting the current strategic balance in South Asia, stated that “The strategic dimension of India’s naval build-up is a cause of concern not only for us but for the entire Indian Ocean region.”

It should interest you to know that INS Chakra was inducted into the eastern fleet at Vishakhapatnam on 4th April 12. Notably:

Beyond the banter, military planners are thrilled at this massive boost to India’s power and reach in the Indian Ocean region. While China enjoys military advantages on the land frontier, India’s ability to choke Chinese shipping at straits like Malacca and Hormuz constitutes a powerful strategic lever. And, nothing performs such “sea denial” missions as effectively as a nuclear attack submarine, known by its acronym, the SSN.
