What's new

Pakistanis lose, US wins

.
TTP have torched hundreds of NATO tankers, was behind killing of CIA agents in afghanistan.TTP have repeatedly announced they wont allow NATO transit through pakistani territory. They have said one of the main reasons for them to fight pak army is because of pak govt's support to US war on terror.

TTP has done way more harm to Pakistan. TTP has killed thoousands of Pakistanis. They claim 1 attack on CIA, but they never join Afghan Taliban in the fight in Afghanistan. Their priority is Pakistan and blood of Pakistanis.

Afghan Taliban never hurt any Pakistani soldier or Pakistani civilian.

And U.S. blames Al Qaeda for 9/11 attacks not Afghan Taliban. All these groups have different objectives. Afghan Taliban's objective is to free their country, Afghanistan, from the invaders.

IF fight against ttp is pakistan's war and ttp is not against NATO then why is pakistani army asking for reimbursement and military aid for fight against ttp?Why should US give you free military aid for your war(in which many pakistanis accuse CIA for helping TTP)

TTP never existed before the US invasion of Afghanistan. There was no such thing as TTP before the US invasion of Afghanistan. There was no suicide bombings inside Pakistan before 2001.

Pakistan was dragged into this war due to Bush's war on "terror".

And many countries get U.S. military aid (or have gotten U.S. military aid in the past) such as Israel. So now does U.S. expect Israel to fight the Afghan Taliban too?

TTP and AT have always helped each other, cross border cooperation is common between them, and burning nato supply in pakistan by the TTP is a direct support to the AT, they have also attacked districts in afghanistan along with the AT.

Afghan Taliban never hurt any Pakistani soldier or Pakistani civilian.

The Afghan Taliban says it has captured dozens of Pakistani soldiers after attacking their checkpoint in a cross-border raid.

BBC News - Dozens of Pakistani troops 'captured by the Taliban'

Afghan Taliban's objective is to free their country, Afghanistan, from the invaders.

and then hand it over to somebody else....

$ 2billion is peanuts compared to damage NATO and U.S. caused to Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD – Pakistani authorities are simply helpless in checking truckloads of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) forces badly damaging the Indus Highway, the repair of which would cost billions of rupees to the national exchequer, TheNation has learnt reliably.

Nato trucks damaging Indus Highway | Pakistan | News | Newspaper | Daily | English | Online

Also TTP didnt even exist before the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan.

Pakistani blood is not that cheap.

So you are saying, you do not collect toll Tax from these trucks?

I believe the dynamics of these groups is almost incomprehensible, with shifting alliances, alliances of convenience, being the norm.

I think one of the most valuable things that could be done is the expulsion (or death) of foreign fighters. Many "Taliban" foot soldiers are in reality simple villagers forced into the job by threats. This was revealed in the initial invasion of Afghanistan, in that there was a die-hard local Taliban core, similar die-hard foreign fighters (Al-Quaeda and such), and a huge gaggle of Afghanis who just wanted to go home, and took the first opportunity to do so.

There is plentiful evidence of people from all over the world who travel to the area to engage in their notion of Jihad, including the famous "American Taliban", John Walker Lindh. Recently, a group of soft and fat Germans got their rear-ends kicked by the harsh conditions there. Focus on the foreigners. Scrutinize those traveling to the area who are obviously not locals. Decapitate the leadership. Then, I think many of the foot soldiers will simply return to their old lives.

Foreign Minister Qureshi reveals that all is ready for exactly such an operation with 34,000 troops already deployed

since when has our 'loud=mouth' FM become a military spokesman - the 30K troops have been there for the last 3-4 months clearing and holding the surrounding fata areas.

Most of the people have been taken in by this statement of the FM. It was thought that these troops had been deployed just before talks with the US. But as rightly pointed out by fatman that these troops have been there for long.

Also, the recent statements from the military - the most recent one coming from Peshawar Corps Commander - have been clear in that the timing of op in North will be as per the army's timeframe. They need time for Orakzai. Clearing it is vital before anyother move can even be considered.

actually pakistan is itself putting last nail in its coffin and thanks to the great satan

But the only thing that is not allowing it to happen is the Great PA :police:

It is the only support the country has,
and it will, Inshallah, wipe out the country of all its traitors!
:pakistan:

I request everyone here to read a book called 'Descent Into Chaos' by Ahmed Rashid(the person who wrote the best-selling Taliban).
It's an awesome book reporting on the 'war on terror'.It tells how US is losing the war.

Infact this is the thing every one in Pakistan is Pressing for.. The gains in the SW ops have to be consolidated First. But US is in a haste and the Obama admin is pressing Pakistan to do something atleast before Obam's Review of the ****** Policy. Its certain that the amount of Aid( 2Bln$$) putten in pipeline noway reflects that an operation of such huge scale can be carried out in the North but the possibility of few Skirmishes with an Air Support is very much likely.
It will look like a Major Military Ops, Smell Like a Major Military Ops but it wont be a Major Military Ops...!!!!

You dont even know about the situation there so best to shut your mouth.

You're from bharat not from the harsh mountainous terrain of Waziristan.

If U.S. and NATO can't defeat these guys, what makes you think Pakistan can defeat all these groups plus TTP terrorists plus deal with the country's worst natural disaster in history?

Why should Pakistan blindly shoot at every group? These groups never harmed any Pakistani, its only TTP that harms Pakistanis. Why should we give our enemy strength by making more enemies near our western border?

So far Afghan Taliban have condemned TTP for fighting Pakistani troops, but if Pakistani troops fight against Afghan Taliban then they'll join hands with TTP against Pakistan and it'll be an armageddon situation for Pakistan.

But you'll love that wont you because you're indian.

I will ignore the jibes since they seem like the output of a troubled mind. However, didnt I recently read about how both AT and TTP are working in coordination.? Actually if I was an Indian who hated Pakistan so bad, I would have loved that Pakistan is making this distinction. The same distinction has got you where you are and the situation down this road isnt too rosy either.

Thats what all the best was for..

Yeah just like the good Mukti Bahni and Bad Kashmiri freedom fighters. ;)

All the best with you too. :)

Any resolution anywhere (including Pakistan) that declared Mukti Bahini as a terrorist organization. On the other hand, TTP, AT, Let, JeM .....etc etc are all declared terror outfits

So while making statements feels nice, they carry credibility only if they are backed by facts.
