Pakistanis getting to know our Indian Muslim members

. .
I guessed that too - something
Not right about his posts - I guess another obsessive indian member

Initially, I thought maybe he was what he said, then I went through old posts and saw his statements. Other Pakistanis reported him and mods must have checked him out.

Then he posted this google translated Urdu statement, it is so obvious. He rails about persecution of Ahmadiyya in Pakistan and how he is happy he left. Sentence structure and repeating words over and over shows that he wrote it in English first.

I'm still learning on the job lol

They are very good brother, they learned from years of experience.

I know your flags say UK, but are you born (originate) in Pakistan? If so, what part?

I am in the US now, but from Faisalabad.

What languages do you speak?

For me mainly Punjabi and Urdu, although I have picked up decent amount of Pukhto and Hindko. Been teaching myself Dari (Eastern Farsi) and Turkish. I am also fluent in Classical Arabic, I studied it for a long time and grew up with Arabs.

.
Great thread, every time I meet an Indian Muslim it’s feels like meeting a close relative. The bond is such a natural one that you cannot describe it with words.

To my Indian brothers and sisters:

Tera mera rishta Kya? :-)

The religious bond is undeniable. I feel it most strongly in Ramadan and Eid.

Our cultural cousins to our West and North also share many similarities with us. I will create threads in the future for them also.

I am thinking mostly of Afghans, Turks/Turkics, Iranians, and Arabs.

I'm British and Proud, old masters, but it is my home :) so this country deserves my loyalty.
What can I say about Pakistan, Pakistan is meri Jaan, my heaven (please no comments from religious lot, thank you), although my links are limited. But I'm fairly aware about meri Jannat. I don't consider myself a patriot, I just try to defend the truth.

You certainly have a gift for languages. I was born in Pakistan but raised here from a young age. I've been to a few countries but my main language is always good old English. I can get by fine in Urdu and Punjabi, but I am not purely Punjabi.

My sole purpose for joining this forum after years of viewing was military matters. But, around the time I decided to join I started reading non-military threads and was less than impressed with the originality of thinking among Pakistani members. For example, no one questions the term Partition. They argue with Indians on the same point the Indians have raised, without opening a critical line of thinking and so on, basically a shouting match.
I've discovered some Pakistani members are good (God it's refreshing), others, at least from what I have seen so far, are let's just say interesting, so I thought let me add my two bits.

I joined with the explicit intention not to share too much information, because then the argument gets personal, rather than arguing the point. The assumption becomes, you are this, so that is why you have this view, or that's why you are saying this, etc, etc...
I believe in arguing the point, not the person, although some people need to be taught a lesson sometimes, and have already done that a few times.

Hope you won't mind, but, if you really want to know more, please send me a private message anytime and I'll happily share my background, to a limit lol

No problem brother. I think you may have some misconceptions of religious Pakistanis, maybe from some bad experiences. Our bozorg always refer to Pakistan as meri Jannat. So no issues brother.

TLP, JUIF, and certain radical part of JI are a very small minority of Pakistanis. Although I realize that they may be over-represented in the diaspora. You will also find MQM, ANP, N league in abundance too in the diaspora.

I have interests in Islamic history, poetry, sufism, and religion in general. I like making friends with people from diverse backgrounds, some of my best friends are Arabs, Turks, Iranians, Afghans, and Uzbeks.

Yes, unfortunately we have let the enemy set the narrative and are now playing catch-up. Alhamdulilah IK is doing great work deconstructing the narrative.

I am a student of Dr. Israr Ahmad, so in addition to his Islamic lectures and talks, he was also learned in philosophy, politics, history, leaders of the Pakistan movement, and the founding of Pakistan.

I therefore strive for a holistic approach to Pakistani identity, which is both religious and racial too.

No worries brother, I respect your anonymity and find it rational, judging from the infection from certain pressure groups and hateful ideologies, it is probably safe for us all to use a bit of discretion.

I do understand what you are saying, and yes I have my share of experiences, but I have a feeling, over time I will become personally familiar with few people here, hence the invitation to send a private message whenever you wish.
Take care brother.
