PAKISTANI WOMAN with a PHD in MATH charging $4 for tuition.

Anyhow, my advice to the generation would be exactly the same as yours. Study hard, get a good job. But then start investing in assets, like real estate or learn a skill that’ll make you a lot of money. That is the only way to true financial freedom.
You are right.

I studied in a 3rd tier international school (in terms of brand / fees). Went to a university (Bachelors/Masters) here in South East Asia, with West being an option but didn’t want to overburden my parents.

Sometimes I look back, there could have been a financial mentorship where they would teach you to invest in assets. Investing in index funds on a monthly basis very simply would have compounded your net worth. Too bad learnt it only 10 years ago as opposed to maybe 20 when I was single.

For my kids, I make it a point not to have tuitions with a 2nd/3rd tier international school. Whatever challenges there are me or my wife help them out. Only thing we give online tutoring to is Qaeda / Quran lessons to kids.

So my family moved to Delaware in late 2000, but we went back every month because of family, friends, and grocery shopping.

I wouldn’t recommend living there if you have a family. High crime, high taxes, poor quality of life (compared to other larger cities), it’s great for visiting but I couldn’t live there.

Our cousins and their parents used to mock us for leaving nyc and talked so much smack on Delaware but now those same folks - all of them moved to Texas.

NYC and America in the 90s was a surreal place. Everyone gel very well. 9/11 changed the country. It made them more miserable at an individual level. Negative energy became norm.
Different people want different things, and it takes time for people to realize they don’t want the hustle and bustle of cramming themselves into the subway everyday.

1. Why do they call it “New Ark” in Delaware?
2. Did you ever get to visit the Bay Area in the 90s? I got a chance in the mid 90s and it seemed like was really the best of times for living in that area.
3. What do you think of moving to Texas? If you recommend it, what part? Also, what do you think of the Bay Area?

He is not hiring from anywhere. He has shared a tweet of some gora hiring a Pakistani teacher on some online platform. There is a difference between knowing a subject well and being able to teach it. My dad is brilliant at maths and physics but use to suck at teaching, and when I wouldn't learn, he would get pissed off with me, when the problem was at his end.

There is no evidence to back the claim that a grad from a mid tier college in India is better than a PhD in Pak. There are a lot of fazool PhDs roaming around in Indian colleges too. I studied engineering in one of the top colleges in Mumbai and most of the teachers were bad. The colleges ride on our calibre, not the other way round. The real filtering happens at secondary school level itself. I know some Pak PhDs holders, they are very very competent people.
Thanks for the sensible comment bro. Very few indians with a sane mind are left on this forum.
Even a graduate from a top college tells nothing. Lots of other factors are at play like students learning aptitude, Iq level and practical experience.
If all of our PHDs are shit like that Mr claims then how they end up working in western countries.

Not sure about Newark, as you can see, America named its cities from ancient cities and biblical sources. New Ark meaning Noah’s ark. Then you have Cincinnati named after the Roman farmer turned General turned Farmer, Cincinnatus. I love it!

I went to SF in 1997, I was only 14 at the time. We stopped at a Pakistani restaurant in Oakland. We went for my Mamoo shaddi in LA and then we all drove to SF. California was and still is beautiful but liberalism has destroyed its society. I prefer Napa valley as it feels like heaven on earth and feels like you’re back in the 50s. People are mostly Republican up there. SF now needs to be nuked with their retarded progressive laws. The state income tax in CA is 13%. Imagine earning $100k and $13k of it goes to the state where it’s squandered. Cali like NYC is two places I will avoid if I can.

Texas is great. My families as I said in the previous post, moved to Dallas. No state income taxes. Economy’s growing due to abundance of resources and people. State laws are same unlike in blue areas. Everyone has a right to arm and protects your family, home, and property.
Dallas Houston are nice. Austin is nice too but it’s 90% Liberal Goras and if you want to raise your kids in a Pakistani community, I wouldn’t choose Austin.

Never thought about the Noah’s ark angle. Makes sense. Yeah, I visited Napa a few years ago. Definitely seems more like the laid back California I remember. It’s a real shame what has become of California. The taxes would be bearable (basically about the same as living in NYC) if governance was better. NY is mostly Uber liberal but it still has a decent middle class that keeps the government somewhat grounded to bread and butter issues, or maybe I’ve learned to cope living here :)

Pakistani kids are fine in Austin.

Austin is a nice city no doubt, but there’s a larger cultural and religious foundation in Houston than in Austin, if you have kids and want to raise closer to your roots. I learned at a young age being cut off your community isolates your kids from the religion and traditions.
Just my opinion.

9/11 changed the culture of America.

Do you think the 2016 election changed the culture of America as well?

I was talking to a close friend of mine and he was saying there’s caveats and problems associated with raising closer to roots. He was talking about how you are constantly compared with your peers from a young age and that sort of destroys one’s self esteem.

I wuld suggest that you hire from JUSTDIAL or similar. Excellent tutors are available for nuch cheaper. Private tutors teaching 1 hours a day, 6 days a week for lik 8-10000 INR(Approx. 100USD) per month which comes to 4 USD per hour.
The quality will be much superior to Pakistani tutors and language will be less of an issue as they can speak english fluently. India's STEM education is far far superior to Pak's. A graduate from a mid-tier college willbe superior to a Phd from Pak's premier colleges.

Indian faculty at schools here tend to be subpar but Indian tutors are good in my experience.

Yes and no. 2016 is the direct result of 15 years of conducting wars without an end in sight. 2008 was the start of the shift when Obama was voted in. That’s when Americans started to wake and wonder not all its well. A nobody somehow got elected who happened to share a similar name with Osama and had Hussain as a middle name and pushing liberalism down peoples throat. That divide came to light in 2016 elections. It showed how ugly the political landscape was and how liberals were controlling the country. I voted for Trump that election. The next door at work, this liberal black comes up to my cubicle in sorrows and tells me we’ve lost the country. I just nodded my head until he went away. Then this liberal, weird white guy comes up to me thinking that I’m a minority and assumed I voted for the democrats and Hillary (lmao). He was a bitch crying at my cubicle. Again, I nodded my head until he went away.
I was very happy because for me it was a ***k you to the democrats and republicans for the mess they created in the Middle East.
2020 was the end of the 9/11 era where it officially ended - the love for military adventurism and gung-ho support for the police after series of shootings in recent years.
The cultural took a huge shift in 2020. I would call it post contemporary era.

PhD in math to teach 12 year old kids algebra?

Sounds like an overkill lol

Pakistan’s economy is 💩 but she’s making good money though if you see the USD to PKR rate.

Sorry, couldn't resist. :D
On a serious note, instead of spending that extra money and time on tuition, why don't you niggas just go to a better school? I never understood. But, then again, I never ever took tuition, and also never went to a good school, . so what do it know?

In US you don’t have a choice as you are zoned for a specific school.

People are advocating for school vouchers to change that.

All Pakistani kids are fine as long as you give them some childhood in Pakistan. They should know about their identity otherwise you could end up getting a self hating chuttiya like this for a son:

The Pakistani kids I see at the Masjid here are all tech nerds or business owners. Most of them are well mannered and polite. The only thing that’s off putting is that some of them wear arbi chola at masjid instead of shalwar kameez.

The irony here was that I got approached by some Afghans that were speaking daga daga to me and thought I was Afghan for wearing shalwar kameez…

Well I did go to the best school in my area.

They’re just too overworked to deal with kids who don’t understand a certain topic. Most of our teachers actually discouraged the kids from coming back at break time to have things explained to them again. Hell, even in class the teachers wouldn’t explain things twice. They’re on such a tight schedule that they literally call it a you problem if you don’t understand in the first demonstration.

The issue for me was that I was very good at every single other subject, until I had a bad teacher for maths. In that one year, I fell so far behind that trying to catch up caused me to ruin my timetable for revision of other subjects. So we took up tuition, and I did very well in everything I took at secondary school. I don’t think I could have done it without the tuition I had

The only enthusiastic teachers you will see are for elementary school kids which is from Pre K to 5th grade. That’s where you will see a lot of younger teachers, most of them women, take a lot of effort on these children.

However as you are older you are kinda on your own. Some professors in college don’t put any effort at all and you have to self learn a lot of stuff.

I hope universities add a course in their curriculum in how people can monetize their education in the global market. There is a lot of talent that just needs to know what is out there.

Why do you figure boys don’t want to go to university? Would you say it’s linked primarily to the lack of jobs in Pakistan?
It’s not that boys don’t want to go.

I know for medical universities, for example, competition is pretty stiff and the girls have decided advantage over boys here. For some reason, people have a fetish with this whole medical thing and they really like having their daughters go to medical school but never practicing after they get their degrees. This is happened with practically all the women in our family. I don’t know maybe a fashionable status thing.

The boys meanwhile are definitely not competitive but make it because they reserve seats for boys- frankly this makes sense because the women don’t practice after uni anyways.

Yeah, I agree. I’ve seen a massive number of school and college dropouts in this generation, to the point where I’m actually scared for the future of academia. Not as many people are studying to the same level anymore, which is leading to the innate, slow brain drain of more developed countries, as a comfortable lifestyle becomes less difficult to gain.

College in America is crazy expensive and is getting pricier every couple of years.

Alhumdullilah I got a scholarship so it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg but I was talking to some people at the masjid and there’s people in their 40s still paying off college loans.

I think this is the first glimpses of a crack in the West, but that’s a different discussion. Soon people won’t go to college as it is compounding with an already high cost of living and relentless inflation.

Unless, it was with her consent, I find it very inaapproprite that details of the professor were shared publically regrding her chrging $$ for tution.

We already know the corrupt political mafia and their college dropout handlers are desprte for dollars at the moment and might now blackmil the prof.. and other freelancrs like her for their share to contine the tortur and abdction of civilians.

It could be a good advertisement for her services.
