There is one more athlete in weight lifting called Haider Ali in 67 Kg category. Though he did not win any medal but he was impressive. Pakistan should invest in other sports too as they have talent. We are doing in TT,Soccer,Hockey,Badminton,Boxing, wrestling, weightlifting and kabadi and getting results.

Camaraderie was always there during sporting events... I play weekend cricket here at a local club (Yes, even at my advanced age of 48) and have some seriously good Pakistani friends (Of different social level.. police constable, garrage worker, doctor, senior govt officials), on whom I can rely upon and they also relly upon me in difficult times..

Common wealth games??
Tell me I'm dreaming! :o:
There was a time we used to win medals in Asian games and one or two at Olympics. ..this is a downgrade ..now people cherish this house nigher games like they had a breakthrough.
Butt de naray wajan gay!! Butt de naray wajan gay!!

Congrats, big man. Really good job with such limited facilities/help. Hope it inspires others in the group to get some more medals.
These guys deserve praise

The unfortunate truth is our country gives them next to NOTHING in terms of actual support

Cricket survives because of wide spread passion amongst the populace and a existing infrastructure and players

Everything else has nothing

Any Pakistani athlete that makes it anywhere is simply because of their own efforts

The same with that javelin thrower we have, he was given no support whatsoever

India has at least started and is now seeing results although very limited

Pakistan has done very little to nothing
