simple question... why are south asian nations participating in some event arranged for their former colonizer?? rather, they can start their own event as one of the steps towards political unification.

and please... don't include the three stupid games... kirket, phutball and hockey.

good thought. south asians are generally not liked anyway... well, except the ladies, of course. most south asian males have nothing to offer to the world.

there is a limit to such thinking. as far as these sports goes, it provides our athletes to perform on an international level.

you are right, of course. but why not participate in events arranged originally for the cis nations?? competing with the disciplined rusisans, chinese and north koreans will be more beneficial than competing with britishers and australians. what do you say??

was it really conducted?? i don't remember. and in the wiki page, it says "cancelled" for the host city.

edit : and i think it is a slavish attitude to promote the common wealth games and keep the south asian games in some obscure corner. i didn't know it even existed.

Sports dont get recognized in Pakistan....a woman in it is a bigger coz some mullah or another wets himself if he sees a woman being happy doing sports and blessing a good name to our country!

Becauz every freaking idiot in the subcontinent wants to play & watch only cricket.India & Pakistan have a combined population of 1.5 billion people & look at our medal tally.If we have some shame still left we should Start encouraging our people to play different sports & provide more funding so that they can get proper Training & equipment.
