Pakistani students abroad make nation proud

Hahahaha tell us some more.

Thats all I can remember for now, but basically most Americans think Pakistan looks like afghanistan (Which we all know is false).

Americans are very nice people and I really like them, but the average American really doesn't know anything about the rest of the world.

. .
Someone once asked me a long time ago if Pakistan had cars

It's partly the Pakistani media/ and some Pakistani peoples fault for not showing positive aspects of Pakistan, only showing the negative aspects

Thats it?

I was asked , in a serious tone .. "Uhhh do you guys have schools in Pakistan?" ...

And when I told some Amreekans that I made couple of friends on F.B while I was in Pakistan... their reaction honestly was "WHAT?! Do you guys have internet in Pakistan too? wow! I thought only we or some European countries have it" ...

:cheesy:

Americans are toooooooo innocent people..They just care about food , job , sex , thats it ...

General American public doesn't care about whats happening in the outside world...Ironically , their country runs the very world they don't know jack about! :)

That's why they support american oil wars. Because their source of information is american media. If we tell them the reality i am sure they will start protesting against their government to stop them.

Agreed. Americans are generally very nice. Especially the ones living in small town Americana. Their habits about inviting someone over for dinner is very Pakistani too. If they know you are new to the town, or alone around holidays, they will make sure to invite you.

After a lot of experience traveling across USA (few years ago) I don't buy this joke of a statement "Americans don't know anything about the rest of the world".

I think they know enough about the world to be the super power.

The difference is that in Pakistan even a cart pusher Khawancha farosh, thinks he knows more about the world than Zardari and Kiyani. and he can be a better general and a better president.

Our Doctors and engineers and scientists are more politicians and international policy-makers.

While they pay little attention to their own fields of profession.

Why? because our time-pass sport is politics and international bickering and sloganeering.

Pakistanis are more worried about Palestine than their own backyard.

And it is all based on drawing room gup shup. No book study, no travel, just drawing room gup shup.

And then we think that we know better about this world than everyone else.

Americans on the other hand are busy in their own professions.

Their working class do not play politicians, they are happy to support their local football team and pass their evening sipping some nice beer.

American international knowledge exists in their big think tanks where people from both left and right wing groups write books, and push America along their favorite policy.

We Pakistani on the other hand get our world policies made by khawancha farosh.

For an example, India is next door. How many Pakistani professors of political science have learned Hindu culture in a scientific way. How many Sanskrit speakers do we have.

How many of us have tried to read and understand Gita?

Not many off course. why we rely on drawing room knowledge otherwise known as Sunni Sunnai baatain or heresy (no wonder majority of us is Sunni).

sorry of I have hurt someone's feeling.

peace

Lol thats why I always try to show the positive aspects about Pakistan, they're always surprised about how developed some parts of Pakistan are.

Our Doctors and engineers and scientists are more politicians and international policy-makers.

Theres the problem with Pakistan, 99% of the people in government are not qualified for their jobs and thats why they are not able to run the country.

When your foreign minister has a degree in hospitality or hotel management ( can't remember which) or your president probably has a fake degree then you know how unqualified and inept the government is.

The people who occupy the American government are highly qualified for their posts, which is why they are able to stay on top.

One American lady revealed that she honestly thought the Pakistani student might bomb the classroom, but that impression changed over time.

LOL. I seriously hope that all Americans don't think like this.

. . .
Why would Americans know about Pakistan or for that matter India? What has these two countries achieved for they to take notice? You know more about America than an average american about your country because America is a country that everyone looks up to not the other way around. If India and Pakistan were like America, we would have seen similar lack of knowledge in our respective countries about other countries. Now stop whining and belittling their GK. Had it not for them we wouldn't have even this mode of communication.

.
America is such a huge country, a whole continent as a country, they have all kinds of weather, and all the worlds peoples and culture their, why would they need to travel abroad.

. .
Such lame images are present in the mind of not only every american but also in the minds of other western countries too, i still remember when i was a part of one of the social forums with least amount of asians , infact i with another arabian girl were the only two asians there , most of them were US, Canadian or australian based members. There one member created a separate thread to show the real beauty of Pakistan and seeing that literally every individual who saw that was so amazed as if someone has shown them something out of this universe they never believed it is the Pakistan they are portrayed with so negative images , every one was regreting about their thoughts about Pakistan and wanted to visit Pakistan

The most desperate of them was a Jew with Israeli background who was settled in US with her gf being the US native. He was so desperate to visit Pakistan along his gf but due to his israeli passport he wasn't able to then he committed that after attaining US passport he will immediately visit Pakistan

I think its more of communicating them with the reality most of them have very biased and poor perception about Pakistan thanks to their biased and pathetic media . And few of the Pakistanis living there have also helped their pathetic media in spreading falsified news just for the sake of money or them being praised by americans . As i mentioned before a person living in US on US media openly refused one of a core belief of Islam which he thought will not make his masters in US happy , now just imagine what impact would this have on the beliefs of muslims living there and the americans

.
Of course not to mention some students totally integrate in the western lifestyle and start acting exactly like Americans. I have seen this is more often the case with the richer students.

Pakistanis have made great sacrifices to achieve education in foreign lands. The west will never be able to understand those sacrifices because they have been spoonfed.
