Pakistani soldier from Ahmadiyya community martyred fighting militants in Balochistan
April 5, 2016 | by Rabwah Times | 8

21-year-old Qazi Muhammad Shoukat Ghani died during a firefight in Pakistan’s Southern province of Balochistan.

Shoukat, an Ahmadiyya Muslim by faith was a resident of Rabwah and was a sepoy in the Kashmir Regiment. He was killed after his post in the Pasni area of Balochistan came under fire from separatist militants.

Shoukat’s body was brought back to Rabwah under strict security arrangements and was buried Monday in the ‘Martyrs Graveyard’ with full military honors. Pakistani army personnel placed flowers on behalf of Pakistan’s Prime Minister and the Chief of Armed Forces.

Talking to the media Shoukat’s father Qazi Abdul Ghani said:

“I am proud that my Son has given his life for his country”

Shoukat’s family moved to Rabwah after their house in Azad Kashmir regularly got caught in crossfire between Pakistani and Indian forces.

On Friday, 8th April Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community offered Shoukat’s funeral prayer in absentee and praised his services to Pakistan and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

. . . . .
RIP
Pakistanis are brave people can serve their lives for the mother land despite they belong to minority religious group. My father told me how bravely they fight for Kashmir as a Al Furqan force.
We should be thankful to that community. But sad enough in early 80s Pakistan armed forces was restricted to induct Ahmadi officers and soldiers and many have to declare themselves as other Muslim sects to get the entry.

He did his duty his faith dosen't matter, did he something that other Pakistani soldiers are not able too.
He is not the first ahmadi to serve and sacrifice in Pakistan armed forces

So its okay if people make threads on Pakistani Christians fighting in Pak army or Pakistanis sikhs. They didn't do anything that other soldiers cant do either. Yet they can have dedicated threads. But you get an allergic reaction when I post the same about Pakistani ahmadis? :coffee:

And his faith is important to be highlighted, since I've lost count of the number of times people on here have called Ahmadis traitors to Pakistan.

Sir be cool people belongs to this nature should be treated with calm tone.

But I don't understand, you know? I have seen threads of Pakistani Christians/Sikhs etc in Army with their faith being mentioned to show the sacrifices of minority communities. I don't see any dismissive posts such as the above on those threads.

If faith is not important then those threads should stop mentioning faith too.

Sir as I mentioned above Mullah links loyalty to nation with religion and Ahmadiya case is quite sensitive since other Muslim sect don't consider them Muslims and Ahmadiya insists that they are, it is like a identity matter means if you are Muslim then I am not. vise versa

A Pakistani laid his life for his motherland. What's the deal with him belonging to a certain faith? Being a sunni majority state, many sunnis have laid down their lives in defence of motherland, you don't get to hear a sunni died in defence of Pakistan! !

Pathetic state of mind.
