Pakistani conventional Rickshaws are all set to be replaced to by newly designed rickshaws. Silver colored and oval shaped, this egg shaped vehicle is basically part of marketing campaign of Ufone. This campaign has been designed by 'Brand Activate', a Karachi based marketing agency that helps companies to activate their brand names through creative ideas. These rickshaws have been designed by Ascend Engineering at Mansoora, Lahore. These rickshaws surprisingly have 3g connections for Wifi enabled services along with GPSnavigation.

Campaign is yet to be launched officially and exact features and functions of this vehicle will be announced on the press meet event, meanwhile have a look at these pictures of new-rickshaw.

Wow....................... that is some change.

How about tuk tuk of these rickshaws?

I saw a chinqi in Chakwal once, it was brilliantly decorated with a LCD installed in it :D

They should have had side doors, this design will give tough time to passengers during winder season.

.
Saw this yesterday near Muridke travelling from Lahore to Gujranwala... i guess these are already on the roads.

Preventing from bad weather like water splash or rain???

Also no safety feature at all! I find the older rather more safe.

.
They should ban these killing machines altogether .

You cant ban em in big cities where due to bad urban planning narrow alleys where only bikes or rickshaws can pass are very common. People who live in such localities rely on rickshaws or bikes as their every day mode of transportation.

Yea hail to our urban and town planning.

Wajsal, cylinder rickshaws are a risk not others or cng ones. but yes majority rickshaws carry cylinder. Ching chi anyone?

looks an indian tata car. Hate that design.

Omg omg !!! Wajsal it reminds me of my goof up. Once i was boarding a rickshaw and god knows how that door flap was installed and its so dififcult getting on a rickshaw, so whilst i was making effort , the door came off and fell down. I had a friend accompanying me. I was confused so isaid to rick driver oh i am sorry, and i looked worried. When he saw iwas getting apologetic he got really rude and said ,pata nahi kya kiya hai darwaza tor diya n bla bla. My friend stayed silent throughout not uttering a single word . When our journey got over and i boarded off and all, then my friend told me,once similar thing had happened to her ;the door coming off and all, and she said , i instead snapped up and went off on driver like what kind of doors you have what useless rickshaw, and the driver was all stutter-y and apologetic, oh sorry bibi beth jain.
Mayyynnnnn....!!!!!!!
