Pakistani Punjab Police to Rearm: Submachines, M4s, Precision Rifles

Over here experimentations have been vastly positives with complaints against LEAs and affronts to officers plunging.
It is planned to equip every officers with them on national level while more and more towns are providing their officers with body cameras. They have proved to be a good deterrent and keep every parties in their place. They also benefit from vastly positive opinions from the population and the agents.

Unless images "accidentally" disappear. :enjoy: @Zarvan
This is great idea and should be adopted by our Police it would also keep Police in check

.
in the UK police have body cams which not only capture engagement with public but the conduct of the officer as well. That could be a great initiative. Those who are not performing their duties can be sent packing.
Body cam is there in kp police patrol unit and it seems that m4's are for elite units or anti terrorism force, now that is the way to go, the body armour and hand cuff orders should be expanded, in little batches most of the police should he equipped with steel handcuffs( although im more in favour of plastic ones) and sub machine guns and body armour etc yet in addition to all these goodies the need of the hour is proper training of the common punjab cop with certain parrameters targeted at his day to day attitude with common citizens, nothing encourages cooperation than that humble yet coffident and curt "sir".

This is just horse sh.it. The whole police force needs re-organisation. The police in Pakistan is running as if it is living in 1800's. For example, I was speaking to an SHO a few years ago while visiting Pakistan, and this good gentleman basically told me that he is on duty 24/7, and can be called anytime when there is an incident. I was very surprised and told his that the police in Australia for example work on 12 hour shifts. When you are off shift then someone else takes your role, and you do not get a phone call if it is not your shift.

Also the training, Pak police requires extensive training to meet the challenges of 21st century.

Arming them with newer weapons is good, but without cultural change in the way they operate, they are a very ineffective force. This is a shame as the Pak military needs all the help in these dangerous and uncertain times.

The lack of one good doesnt warrant the rejection of an another, yes training and establishment of modern sop's is essential yet one cannot overlook the fact that punjab police is heavily underequipped to fight even petty criminals.

You need to read my post again; I supported inclusion of better weapons. But better weapons with inadequate training add no weight. As usual, the country's retarded leaders only do half the job.

That is just for traffic not general policing. Body cameras are being trialled for general policing in Islamabad :)
