Pakistan pop music was a trend setter in the whole region.
Starting in 90's when most of the Asians music was a trash, Pakistan lead in new trends and it has always been in all fields.
I remember one of vital signs member living in I-9 Islamabad... and JJ used to visit there, this house was on my way to market.

Than came many more incl. legend Adnan Sami, Fakhir, ...... lots of names. i don't follow them any more.

There was one guy launch his techno music album... perhaps named Amir Khan!
He was good... but since he only played music no became media attention.

I once attended Abrar-ul-Haq's concert held in the PC Rawalpindi, there were more girls than guys and the energy and atmosphere was something else.

Any way, Hadiqa really topped the female charts.

Ahmad Rushdi was first pop singer. Then Vital signs, Janoon, Nazia Hasan, Hadiqa Kiyani, Ibrar, Awaz, Alamgir, Strings, Atif, Ali Zafar, Fusion, Noori etc etc done a good job.
