Pakistani mangoes lose markets to India,China.

I went to Lulu once, but the mangoes were really terrible, no aroma or taste or anything Dont know about their place of origin.

Since then, i go to the Fruit and Vegetable market, near the Union cooperative housing, on the outskirts of Dubai (kind of wholesale market), and there, you get quality stuff.

The packaging here is the good old crate. Some wooden planks tied down, and a piece of newspaper wrapped around the mangoes!

I would say either you are blind or just showing your hatred towards India, because in every fruits and vegetable section of Lulu they have the country of origin written in big words...

Yes i know that names are written.

But I took em right of the trolley!!!! When the Lulu guy was coming with the latest installment of mangoes, i took some mangoes from the trolley, because only the poor ones were left in the stall.

And had I wanted to bash India, I would have done it straight in the face!

As a matter of fact mango helps in fighting cancer and on a side note it also multiplies the sex cells , therefore you are more prone to have sex after consuming a mango

Dont know about other places, but in Dubai, it is pakistani mango everywhere.

Went to the fruit market yesterday, and all the people were gathered up at the pakistani mangoes! I myself brought a crate. And have been eating them since then, first thing to do after Iftar, eat a mango!!!

What are the leading varieties of Mangoes in Pak ?

Same as India .. Langra, Dusheri, etc ?

Would love to try Pak mangoes.

There's a 46% market share held by Asian Mangoes in the US Market, unfortunately that is contested for by Pakistan, China and India. Which is why some businessmen from India and Pakistan met and were working out a formula for combined export for the US market.

Indian and China can produce more yes but demand of Pakistan mango and value is higher than any other. Some one tried to sell Indian mangoes here in Norway but that was flop. There are atleast 2 extra crago flights with mango every week to Norway , Denmark , Sweden etc. U will not find one shop who wants Indian mango

I once ate a mango that overripened. Not to the point of being spoiled, but just enough that it was so sweet it nearly gave me Diabetes. Almost sharted myself afterwards, but it was worth it...

Are you sure about that
If you aren't eating Indian mangoes you are probably consuming something made of mango pulp processed from Indian mangoes

I have two Mango Trees in my home. One is of Dusheri & the other one of AnwaRatol. Actually we don't even take care of the mango trees, like no pesticide, sprays etc but still the Mangoes taste pretty good and are of normal size according to their respective types.Something naturally in the soil of Pakistan maybe Personally i prefer Dusheri more. But my most favourite type of Mango is Chaunsa. Nothing beats that.No doubt Pakistani Mangoes are the best

Multan: 3,000 tons of mango pulp expected this year - geo.tv

MULTAN: Chairman Board of Management Mango Pulp Plant Malik Ghulam Abbas Rawn said plant would prepare three thousands tons of pulp during on-going season.

He informed media a response of mango growers towards the plant for preparation of pulp was remarkable. He added that different multi-national companies purchased pulp within short span of time which helped growers to earn handsome money.

He said the plant had prepared one thousand so far and hoped that the plant would provide two thousand ton pulp further during the season.

About service charges, he added that plant would earn Rs 22.5 million in line with service charges.

Ghulam Abbas also informed that the plant would also make 700 tonnes of Guava and 600 ton of peach as they were obtaining orders from multi-national companies. (APP)
