The thing to be grateful for here is that this person was stopped from committing an act of terror that could have resulted in the deaths of many. The region has already seen its fair share of causalities due to the acts of terror, and it is heartening to see that the hard work of the U.S. and NATO forces is paying off, and the ANSF are fast gaining the capability to prevent these acts of terror from occurring. It is quite apparent after reading the comments that the blame is being tossed around due to the attacker’s reported nationality. Some are even using the help of conspiracy theories and suggesting the involvement of the CIA and NATO. We want to remind everyone that neither the blame game nor the conspiracy theories will help us achieve the desired results in the region. We cannot offer these terrorists any leeway by remaining indulged in our differences. And that’s the reason we regularly emphasize the importance of cooperation between our regional partners. We must realize the benefits of working side by side. We need to target these terrorists from all ends, and leave them no choice but to surrender.

The interesting thing is, tens of Afghan terrorists get arrested in Pakistan everyday for trying to bomb western parts of Pakistan. You find one genuine case (the rest are mere allegations by KHAD) and you get all excited. We know that there are terrorists on both sides of the border, belonging to both nationalities, but as long as Afghanistan with its puppet regime lets foreign intruders use its territory as proxy land against its neighbors, such incidents will continue.

The reason I don't trust this useless crap, If a Pakistani (or whoever) was driving the truck FULL of explosives for a "suicide" mission, WHY THE HELL WOULD HE GET ARRESTED? Fidayi's or Suicide bombers blow themselves before getting arrested, and a truck FULL of Pakistani Explosives would have gone BOOM by a small fire or bullet or grenade even if the MAIN DETONATION SYSTEM FAILED.

And a Pakistani Man INSIDE Afghanistan IN A TRUCK full of explosives would NEVER change his mind.. he would have known what he is doing.. :p

It will cause less problems for all sides.

People have families who live on both sides of the border. Fencing and mining the border is next to impossible. And those people who wish harm will find a way to get through even if there is a wall, fence, mines, etc.

What should happen is Pakistan pulling half its forces deployed on the Indian side and deploy them here on the Afghan border and conduct offensive operations in North Waziristan to end this menace once and for all.

Here is why you are wrong.

He got arrested because he failed to reach his target. These suicide bombers are simpletons who get brainwashed in Taliban madrassas and are told to bomb a certain target. And thus when he got arrested, he couldn't improvise and come up with a new strategy.
