Exactly but likewise Pakistan wouldn't (shouldn't) help either side as well. If anything Pakistan should try to mediate a diplomatic solution between both sides but both sides are too stubborn to consider this option.

Don't you know Pakistanis are the self proclaimed guardians of Islam we especially love being a white knight when it comes to arabs. We love the ummah so much we named our capital after our religion , another city renamed after Saudi king and our stadium after a Libyan dictator .
We are so much purer in religion that we even implement a man made blasphemy law giving us a licence to kill in his honour anyone we deem is critical of Islam or the prophet(pbuh) something even he never did in his life or ever said to do but hey Pakistan being the fortress of Islam knows best . The Ummah needs our help to survive they are doomed without us .

1. Fence the border.
2. Try to calm down parties involved.
3. Keep a close eye on all the game being applied on Iran.
4. Make immediate plans which to be implemented if war begins.
5. Keep close contacts with all regional players.

This Iran is still manageable than post war Iran.
